On Sunday, April 26th, 2026 at FirstPark in Oakland at 9:00 am, people will be running or walking in solidarity against the harsh reality of the impact of sexual violence in our Maine communities. You can choose to sign up for the virtual race which we have extended to May 10th, or you can join us at FirstPark on April 26th. This event is taking place in the month of April to honor Sexual Assault Awareness Month!

Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome! Strollers are welcome! Have questions? Check out our One in Five 5K Race Guide!

Submit your virtual race results here.

100% of the proceeds of this event will benefit the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center and its services for survivors of sexual abuse. A fully staffed and highly trained Sexual Assault Support-line is available 24 hours a day, Support groups, justice system advocacy, school-based prevention education, and Children’s Advocacy Center are all provided free of charge to the members of the Kennebec and Somerset counties’ communities in need. Hundreds of people utilize these important services every year.

Camp to Belong Maine is proud to announce the 7th Annual Camp to Belong Maine 5K!

At Camp To Belong we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to spend meaningful time with their brothers and sisters and we are dedicated to helping make that happen for kids separated due to foster care placement, adoption, or other out of home placements. While many of us take for granted the opportunity to share meals, play games and say goodnight to our siblings each day, the kids we serve at Camp To Belong cherish these small moments that they do not always have. These moment are what Camp To Belong works to create, so separated siblings are able to have positive childhood memories.

    This year's race details:

This year our Run To Belong 5k and Fun Run is back at the Augusta YMCA and the Rail Trail. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 8:30 for any youth that are interested! The 5k (run or walk) will begin at 9 am and will follow the beautiful Rail Trail!

If you sign up for the race by Friday April 10th, you will receive this years race shirt. Your event swag, t-shirt, bib, and raffle tickets can be picked up the day of the race, beginning at 8am
