MONTEZUMA FESTIVAL OF RACES | 13.1 | 10k | 5k |

Sunday-June 7, 2026 (Run events)

Saturday-June 6, 2026 (Island 25/15 Bike event) Please visit Island 25/15 race website if you are interested in registering or learning more.

Nestled in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York, the tiny town of Savannah — home to a population of just over 1,700 year-round residents — is set to play host to the Montezuma Festival of Races. This series of races will take 5K, 10K and half marathon runners along country roads in low population density areas full of scenic views of rural Central New York. It will be on mostly paved roads for the Half Marathon with a couple miles on packed dirt trails that will have you running on the outskirts of Howland Island. The 10K and 5K are run entirely on paved roads (See Course Maps)

The race will benefit the important work and efforts of the Friends of Montezuma.Org

RACE WEATHER

Savannah, NY typically sees warm weather at the beginning of June. There will be plenty of hydration stations along the on course routes, as well as medical professionals on site. It is recommended that runners also be prepared with hydration belts and plenty of fluids. Thank you for your cooperation!

    In Person: 5K

    Virtual: 5K | 19K

Join us as we celebrate women's suffrage in historic Seneca Falls, NY!

The Right to Run is a celebration of the passing of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote. It all began in Seneca Falls, NY when Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott organized the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention – the first-ever Women’s Rights Convention. This 5k race takes place through the town of Seneca Falls, highlighting the town's rich history and landmarks, and if you can't make it to Seneca Falls, our virtual run options allow you to join us from anywhere in the U.S.

The Right to Run serves as a powerful reminder of the long, difficult journey women traveled to obtain their right to vote. Crossing the finish line takes dedication, resilience and strength- all qualities shared with the suffragists that fought for women’s suffrage.

Men, women and children are welcome to join us for the Right to Run. Right to Run Inc.’s purpose is to inspire, empower, mobilize and connect women. Right to Run 19K, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Right to Run 5km is certified to be accurate by the USATF, NY25003KL

The Tyburn Academy Crusaders will hold their 2nd Annual Crusaders United Color Run to support the United Way of Cayuga County and Tyburn Academy. Tyburn Academy, a small private Catholic School in Auburn, N.Y. fosters a community rich in the Gospel spirit of service and charity. As such, the students have chosen this fundraiser elevating the standard to justly serve their school and the community it is housed within.

Half of the proceeds from this event will support the mission at Tyburn Academy while the other half are designated to the United Way of Cayuga County to support two funding Pillars: Financial Stability and Community Resilience. These two pillars focus on ensuring Cayuga County residents have the tools to thrive in the workplace such as improved literacy skills, virtual training programs, and transportation for seniors and disabled neighbors. These programs also address emergency needs like food, clothing, and shelter for neighbors who have survived flood and fire damage to their homes as well as energy assistance for those facing utility shut offs.

Register today and UNITE with the Crusaders to support them in their mission of service while also supporting the United Way in their mission to improve lives. Register today and join the Crusaders United in Color and run (or walk)!

In an effort to mobilize all of our community, there are 3 opportunities for you, your family, and your friends to participate and show that you are UNITED and care with Color!

    Option 1:

Join us for a traditional 5K color run (or leisurely walk) at Everest Park in Auburn, New York. As you navigate this racecourse, you will come across color stations where folks will tag you with color, showing they appreciate you uniting and caring with color to support both of these local nonprofit organizations! Although this color run is generally an untimed event, for those that are interested, there will be one timer at the finish line highlighting the time. In addition, a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award will be given to the first three participants to cross the finish line. Participants can choose to run or walk throughout the course, both of which will be able to UNITE, care with color, and experience the fun! Registration is $35 for an individual, $30 per individual in a team of 3 or more (plus fees).

    Option 2:

Join us virtually (well sort of!) for the 5K from wherever you are! Have a friend tag you with color from the bags included in your registration packet before beginning your race and then again as you cross the finish line! Let’s see how many folks UNITE and care from afar! Be sure to snap a picture of your personal 5K and send it via Facebook Messenger to Crusaders United Color Run. Look for your picture to be highlighted on the Facebook page to see how far UNITING and caring with color can reach! Registration is $35 for an individual, $30 per individual in a team of 3 or more (plus fees).

    Option 3:

For our friends 8 years and younger, we have a smaller racecourse where they can UNITE and show they care with color. The youth race will start around 9:45 am, after the traditional race is complete. Register your kids in the Crusader Kids United in Color Run/Walk and teach them the importance of caring for the communities they live in, while having FUN! They will have the opportunity to run/walk, albeit a smaller route, through the beautiful Everest Park, where they will come across stations and volunteers who will tag them with color. There is no age minimum on UNITING and caring with color! Registration is $20 (plus fees) for youth 8 years and younger.

The choice to UNITE and Care with Color is YOURS. Register today!

Each traditional 5K race participant will receive:

    • An individual color packet to start the fun before the race begins

    • Event t-shirt (Only guaranteed if registered by May 1st)

    • Crusaders United in Color race bib

    • One free ticket to enter raffle drawings after the race.

Each virtual race participant will receive:

    • Two individual color packets - One to start the fun before the race begins, and one to finish the fun as you cross your finish line

    • Event t-shirt (Only guaranteed if registered by May 1st)

    • Crusaders United in Color race bib

** Virtual runners - Please note: In order to receive race packets by race day, we must send them one week in advance. You are welcome to register up to the event; however, we cannot guarantee that race packets will be received by the event's start if you register after Friday, April 25th.

Each kids' fun run participant will receive:

    • An individual color pack to start the fun before the race begins

    • Event t-shirt (Only guaranteed if registered by May 15th)

    • Crusaders United in Color race bib

    Race Awards:

Of course, when we UNITE and Care with Color, we must UNITE with awards and prizes! Prizes will be awarded at the end of the race.

    1. First, second, and third place of the traditional course

    2. Largest group award - traditional or virtual group

    3. Farthest UNITED in color virtual participant

    4. First, second, and third place of the kids' fun run.

*If you win an award, we hope to UNITE in pictures for the Crusaders United Color Run Facebook page!

The Waterloo Library & Historical Society presents the 2026 Bookish 5k & the Cookie Fun Run (If You Give A Pig A Party)!

Join us for our 3rd Annual Bookish 5K: Stories in Stride event with a different theme for this year. 2026’s 5k theme is TBD. The first 100 Bookish 5K participants will receive a book-themed medal and T-shirt.

“If you give a pig a party”, they will probably party. When they party, they will probably feel guilty. But if they do this fun-run they can have their cake and eat it too!

This family friendly race, originally inspired by Laura Numeroff's "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie", will tickle your taste buds AND benefit the Waterloo Library & Historical Society. This year we will be eating CAKE, but don't worry, you don't have to eat them along your run. We'll have some ready for when you are done!

If you are participating in our original 1 mile fun run, there will be 2 pieces of cake in total. So bring your appetite and running shoes to race 1 mile around the Library area of Waterloo.

Participants will receive a Cake themed medal and registrations under 5 will receive their own copy of this year’s book.

    Entry fees:

    5K walk/run:$35

    Cookie Run: $15

    Children under 5: Free

*In the event of a cancellation, there will be no refunds; your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Waterloo Library & Historical Society.

Welcome to our 15th Annual Finger Lakes Mud Run! When we started this race fifteen years ago - it seemed wild to think we'd still be operating a decade and a half later. Through leadership changes, through COVID, through rain, sleet, heat, and drought, we've brought the FLMR alive every year. We are so excited to still be going strong at year 15 - and you can be sure there will be some special 15 year anniversary surprises for all of our registrants.

The Finger Lakes Mud Run is an outdoor challenge course that takes place on the beautiful grounds of Everest Park, with about 40 (in 2025) obstacles both man made and natural, that is usually just over four miles long. Designed to help cultivate camaraderie and teamwork, families and friends can look forward to an exhilarating, challenging, and extremely muddy adventure! Donations and registration net proceeds will go to Champions for Life, Inc., a non-profit organization in Auburn, NY, which operates the CFL Sports Center, Everest Park, and the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage. For more information about Champions for Life, please click here.

Have you participated in past FLMR races? Have ideas about what you'd like to see at our 15th event? Contact us via the 'contact the race' button, and tell us what you think. Want to help participate in the planning of the Mud Run, or help construct obstacles? We always welcome input and assistance from our community of Mud Runners!
