The Royal Copenhagen City Half

In fall 2010, after winning Nike's "Run Your City" challenge, a group of Copenhagen friends led by Karl-Oskar Olsen (co-founder of WoodWood) decided to start their own crew. NBRO Running was born with a rebellious spirit: serious athletes who loved to party, dressed in black, rooted in the creative culture of Nørrebro. They became part of a global movement alongside Bridge Runners in New York and Run Dem Crew in London. Today, NBRO anchors a diverse community where doctors, lawyers, mechanics, architects, and students run together through shared effort and mutual respect. The crew operates from Søpavillonen, a lakeside coffee shop, with a legendary weekly schedule including Bloody Monday speed work, Midweek Madness track sessions, and Saturday long runs. More than a decade on, NBRO remains a cornerstone of Copenhagen's thriving running scene.
