Join us as we run in one of the most spectacular trail settings in the United States and provide support to the men and women who serve on the search & rescue teams that regularly save lives in the Red River Gorge area.

HALF MARATHON ROUTE

COURSE HYDRATION: Our race is cup less. Please bring a water bottle or self-hydration system. We will have Shaklee hydration and water at the start area and water at 5 locations along the 13.1-mile route.

SPECIAL AGE BASED PRICING (Ages 10-16) We are offering a $35 registration fee for those running who are ages 10-16)

PACKET PICKUP (PPU): We are hosting several packet pickup opportunities. Our packet pickups will be held on Thursday, 10/1/26 from 5-7pm at J&H Running Company (197 Moore Drive in Lexington) and on Friday, 10/2/26 from 4-8pm at the Natural Bridge Campground (pavilion). This is the race venue. We will also hold last chance PPU on race morning (Saturday, 10/3/26) 5:45-7am at the same location.     The Mountain Mushroom Festival is a celebration of the morel mushroom and Kentucky agates presented by the City of Irvine and Festival Committee. It provides a weekend of activities and entertainment for everyone. We would like to invite you to become a part of the fun!

    • Registration/Check-In: 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. at corner of 199 Broadway & Estill Ave., Irvine

    • Pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, juice, milk, and coffee will be served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Lodge located next to the starting line on Broadway.

    • The cost will be $10 for adults and $7 for children from 5 to 12 years of age. Children 4 and under eat free.

Through revenue generated from entry ticket sales for over 100 runners annually and generous sponsors throughout the Clark County Community, the Run For The Paws 5k has helped the Clark County Animal Shelter purchase much-needed supplies including food, shelving, cleaning materials, and more.

    What is the virtual option?

    REGISTER - The Clark County Animal Shelter STILL NEEDS OUR SUPPORT! We encourage you to register for 2026 Run for the Paws and on May 16th, walk or run your 3.1 with your favorite furry friend, family member, or alone! Our virtual race is a non-competitive option to show your support from anywhere. We will have an event page on which you can post pictures of your success. This event benefits the Shelter to support their efforts to maintain the health and wellness of ALL of our community and our furry friends in need!

    All runners and walkers will receive a unique 2026 Race T-Shirt!!
