Fun Run Run

With our partners at Asics, we're happy to announce the...

Presented by: Asics and Fleet Feet

So what is this?

A week-long, half-day (8am-12:00pm) summer camp focused on running for elementary to middle schoolers.

Each day runners will engage in running workouts, health and fitness related educational sessions, and fun games! We'll have time for a snack, and even some guest speakers!

CAMP DATES

June 22nd - June 26th

8am - 12:00pm

My athlete is new to running, is this camp for them?

Absolutely!

Because we'll have such awesome camp counselors, we'll be able to differentiate the activities and workouts for different ability levels.

Additionally, all of the activities we'll do will be focused on learning more about running and building up skills and knowledge. So, this can be a great introduction for those brand new to running, as well as a way to get even better for those who have been running for some time.

Sounds great! Where is the camp?

Camp will be at The Alum Creek Dam Lower Recreation Area

Pick-up and drop off will be in front of the Maple Shelter House each day

That's fun! How much does it cost?

Camp registration is $180 for the week.

Anything else I should know?

With camp registration you get...

Water bottle

Camp t-shirt (needs to be worn every day at camp)

Daily snack

USATF certified coaching

Fun running related goodies!

Camp day schedule is listed below:

7:30am: Drop off opens; campers may start arriving

8:05-8:15am: Finalize AM attendance list

8:15am-9:45am: Running Workout with the structure of a cross country workout

9:50-10:10am: Snack/Playground time

10:15am-11:00am: Education/Mind related activities (speakers, goal-setting, education, etc)

11:00am-11:45am: "Fun" Physical activity (games like scavenger hunts, capture the flag, etc)

11:45am to 12:00pm: Snack/Playground time and dismissal

When do we get the camp gear/equipment?

We will distribute the packets for athletes when they arrive at camp, first thing on Monday morning!

Interested in Being a Counselor?

We're looking for awesome high-school/college-aged runners who love working with kids!

The crew at Wolf Pack Adventures is excited to bring you this unique event along Ohio's largest inland beach. Run as many 5K loops as you can in 6 hours at Alum Creek State Park!

Complete at least four loops to officially complete the race. You do not need to run for 6 hours. You can run for as long as it takes you to run four loops. Your official race time will be recorded as the time you complete your fourth loop. Results will be recorded as the total number of loops each participant runs in 6 hours. Whoever runs the most loops in 6 hours is the 6 Hours of Power champion.

In contrast to the surrounding farmlands, Alum Creek State Park offers a diverse array of natural features. Cliffs of Ohio shale are notable in many areas, exposed as Alum Creek and other streams cut through underlying bedrock. Check out all the park has to offer!
