1 Miles 1Mile 5k Run Walk

Put on your running shoes and join the Burlington Township Police FOP Lodge #84 in a 5k run, the fourth annual ‘Cardio for Cosmo’ Memorial 5k run honoring fallen Detective Steven T. Cosmo #3099. Detective Cosmo impacted the lives of so many people, and it is our job to now honor and remember him for the loving, caring and dedicated man that he was.

This event is a memorial 5k run with the intention of memorializing Detective Cosmo and giving back to programs that help provide suicide prevention and assistance to our country’s law enforcement and military personnel as well as giving students with an interest in law enforcement, military or mental health professions scholarships to make those dreams happen.

Your participation in this years' event will benefit various programs utilized throughout New Jersey that focus on mental health education within the law enforcement field.

Scholarships are also given each year to students from the Burlington Township High School with the intention of working in Law Enforcement, the Mental Health field or going into the Military after graduation.

Additional contributions can be made at the "Donate" tab.

This run offers a hilly and fast 5K run and flat 1 mile walk course, beginning and ending at the Burlington Township Municipal Building, 851 Old York Rd. The 5k run event includes Run Chip timing, HD finish line video and text message results within seconds of the conclusion of the run. The 1-mile walk is an untimed event.

Commemorative T-Shirts will be given out to all participants registered for the event by April 6, 2026.

Awards given to the top three female & male overall and the top three in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Join us at Crystal Lake Park for the Dash and Deciduous 5k trail run! This is a super secret, FREE, timed 'FATASS' 5k, which is essentially a fun, organized group run without all the bells and whistles of a typical race. Registration is required due to the field size being limited to 40 runners. Once the field limit is reached, additional runners will go on a waiting list and be added randomly.

Although though the Uptown Gentlefriends covers all expenses, this event relies heavily on runner donations to enhance the experience. Donations aren't required but 100% of contributions go directly back to the runners.

    AWARDS:

    • Top Male and Female

    • Age Group Awards: Available for both male and female in the following age groups;

    • 29 and Under

    • 30 to 39

    • Masters (40+)

If participation is high, "Easter eggs" will be hidden along the course, and can be returned for a small prize. If the finder also wins an award, the prize will be given to the next highest finisher.

    Top 10 All-Time: http://bit.ly/UGFfastest

    Top Male; Eric F. - 24:20

    Top Female; Corinne J. - 29:42

    Course Description:

This course is a fun, timed group run and may be challenging for beginners. It features approximately 300ft of elevation gain, ankle-twisting roots, and some steep, dangerous hills. Veteran trail runners will enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to gain ground in a few runnable sections. The course will be well-marked, with no risk of getting lost, and there will be a water station at the halfway point.

    Spectator Information:

The course is spectator-friendly. You can cheer on runners at the start, at mile 0.50 before they enter the woods, at mile 0.80 just before a series of steep hills and finally at mile 2.1 for one last push to the finish line. Refreshments will be served post-run near the sign-in area, and the award ceremony will take place shortly after the conclusion of the run.

    Important Notes:

    • The parking area is small, so we strongly encourage carpooling.

    • This is a small but competitive club run, and participants are responsible for their own safety. Crystal Lake Park offers challenging trails, including some steep and potentially dangerous downhill. Even experienced trail runners should exercise caution.

We are honored to host the annual Patrolman Samuel C. Irvin Legacy 5K Walk/Run at Mansfield Twp. Park. The event will take place on the paved Kinkora Trail that winds through woods and farm fields. This event is in memory of our 23-year-old son, Sam, who tragically passed away from sudden cardiac arrest on July 23, 2023, while working out. Following his passing, we learned that Sam had a genetic mutation known as Brugada Syndrome. Sam was a three-sport athlete in high school and played college baseball. He had recently graduated from college and the Gloucester Police Academy and was serving as a patrolman for the Mansfield Police Department at the time of his death. He is survived by his son Beau Samuel. This event, with your participation and support, will not only honor Sam's legacy but also make a meaningful impact by supporting student athletic scholarships established in Sam's name at Northern Burlington County Regional High School. Together, we can honor Sam's legacy and make a

    meaningful impact!
