The Race for a Healthier World 5K

We are excited to have you join us for our 4th Annual Pride of the Patriots 5K! This year the race will be taking place at Bill Fredrick Park at Turkey Lake.

With over 200 participants, the Pride of the Patriots Marching Band is one of the largest in Central Florida. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Freedom High School Pride of the Patriots Marching Band!

We will offer a Virtual category! All participants (Virtual included) will receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal!

Virtual Race packet information -- If you want to join us from a far or run at your home, you can register to in our Virtual category. To guarantee you have all your race items in hand prior to the event date of Saturday, April 11th - you must register by Sunday, April 5th. Packets will be mailed out that week. If you register after that date, you will receive your packet after April 11th.

Race results - This is a FUN RUN and we will be scoring and recording the top 3 men and women only. There will be a finish line clock so you can see what you time was as you cross this line. Make sure to check out the clock!

Description:

Hebni Nutrition Consultants, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, presents the Arts and Hearts Health Fair & 5K: A Morning of Wellness in the Community. Hebni Nutrition Consultants, Inc. (Hebni) is a community-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1995 to educate high-risk, culturally diverse populations on nutrition strategies that prevent diet-related diseases. Hebni is known for developing culturally rooted programs such as the Soul Food Pyramid and Sisters: Take Charge of Your Health, which address populations disproportionately impacted by cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity.

Join us at Lake Lorna Doon Park for a vibrant morning focused on health, movement, and community connection. Hosted in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, the Arts and Hearts Health Fair brings neighbors together for an engaging wellness experience that goes beyond a traditional race.

The event will feature:

• A 5K run with optional chip timing and scoring for $25

• Free participation for walkers

• Live music

• Free health screenings

• Local art vendors

• Food trucks

• A family-friendly Kids Zone

• A live cooking demonstration led by Hebni Nutrition

While runners take part in the 5K, the health fair will be active throughout the morning, welcoming community members to explore health resources, connect with local organizations, enjoy cultural offerings, and participate in activities designed for all ages. The Arts and Hearts Health Fair is designed to center wellness, accessibility, and culture—creating a space where the community can move, learn, and connect together.

The Great American Bacon Race is a fun, bacon-themed 5k run with custom finisher medals and awesome finisher T-shirts. Oh, and there is FREE bacon at the finish line. There is also digital timing for awards plus prizes for the biggest team, best costume, and others. Could you walk away with the coveted "Golden Pig?"

The event also includes a Bacon Dash for kids. All followed by the Bacon Bash After-Party with music, food trucks, vendors, and lots of free bacon. It's a fun-filled event for bacon lovers to enjoy.

Hearts Against Hunger 5K

YOU DON'T HAVE TO RUN FAST TO STOP HUNGER!

Walk, stroll or run through the lovely streets of Belle Isle, just outside of Orlando. There are so many ways to get in on the fun and at the same time join us in our fight against hunger. Servant’s Heart Ministry is a local non-profit organization that delivers healthy food right to the homes of those experiencing food insecurity. Through these deliveries, we build meaningful relationships and offer hope during challenging times. The need continues to grow. Put on your running shoes and help us nourish the most vulnerable in Central Florida. All donations are tax deductible.

• Our course is carefully measured and operated by a professional race manager. This makes it popular for competitive runners. But runners or walkers of all ages are encouraged to join us. We also welcome wheelchairs and strollers. Though we love our furry friends, because of our current insurance policy no dogs will be allowed at this event.

• To increase your support, donate a minimum of $100 and you will be provided with a $10 registration discount at check-out!

Consider turning your run into a fundraiser! Here's how:

1. Register as a runner by clicking the Sign Up tab.

2. Then visit the Become a Fundraiser page

3. Create a name for your fundraising goal (e.g., "Jen's 5k Supporters," "Fred's Friends," "Costco Cares").

4. Set your desired fundraising goal for the 5K.

5. Create a custom URL for your fundraiser.

6. Personalize it with a picture.

7. Share your fundraiser on social media, and don't forget to tag #HungerAwareness5K @ServantsHeartMn.
