2026 River Road Run Half Marathon, 10miler SKYDOME, 10k and 5k

Join us for the 11th anniversary of the Outlaw Half Marathon! This race is a Texas Hill Country classic and a must-do on the list of Spring Half Marathons. Come and join us for a beautiful course, an awesome after-party, and of course, the experience of being in Luckenbach Texas, where everybody's somebody!

All three races start in historic downtown Luckenbach Texas in front of the old Post Office. The race start has ample room for spectators so bring your friends and family to cheer you on!

All routes are out and back through the scenic backroads of Fredericksburg, Texas. Prepare yourselves for spectacular wild flowers in early April, as well as other classic Hill Country scenery, like longhorns!

The 5K and 10K are relatively flat and very fast - bring your PR legs! The half marathon has rolling hills, as you would expect from the Texas Hill Country.

Staggared start times for each race distance:

8:00 am: Half Marathon Start

8:15 am: 10K Start

8:30 am: 5K Start

Registration closes on race day at 7AM.

Race day registration will only be online, on this website.

Guaranteed Shirt Cutoff 3/30 - If you register after 3/30 we will have shirts available based on online registration; if there are shirt sizes available when you register, we will have them at packet pickup for you. If your size is not available during registration, we are out of that size. Shirt sizes can be swapped AFTER all races start based on what we have available on-hand. Shirts cannot be picked up after packet pickup and medals are only available to finishers at the finish line and will not be mailed.

After your race, sausage rolls will be served. Food and one complementary Shiner beer (for those of age) is included in your race entry. Please prepare to have your ID present when getting your complementary beer. If you're interested in purchasing food for friends or family, a Full Pint Pass (including a complementary adult beverage) or a Half Pint Pass (soda) can be purchased from the store tab. Proceeds from these passes will go directly to our 2026 beneficiary.

Please note, if you decide to make a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during checkout, choosing the "anonymous" option will also make your race results anonymous and will not be attached to your name. Please choose to include your name with your donation.

To produce an awesome race, we coordinate our efforts and plan well in advance, making it difficult and costly to make changes after registration. Medals, bibs, shirts and other items are ordered months before the race and purchased according to the original information provided during registration. As a result, and similar to other races in the industry, iRun Texas and Split Second Productions does not offer refunds of registration fees or deferrals for any reason. In addition, release forms and emergency content are specific to the individual participant. Transferring such information would be a liability to the participant as well as the race. This policy applies to individuals with injuries, unexpected business, family emergencies, etc. There are no exceptions.

Fredericksburg Wildflower 5K & 10K Run & Walk

Calling all running clubs! Join us for the Fredericksburg Wildflower 5K & 10K Run & Walk on Saturday, April 25, 2026. This event offers the perfect opportunity for your group to enjoy a scenic, springtime run through the Texas Hill Country during peak wildflower season.

Whether you’re looking to set new PRs, enjoy a laid-back run with your teammates, or simply soak in the natural beauty of Fredericksburg, this race has something for everyone. Expect a well-organized, fun, and supportive atmosphere with great swag, awards, and community spirit.

Gather your crew, lace up your shoes, and come experience one of the most picturesque runs in Texas.

The Fredericksburg Wildflower 5K and 10K Run | 5K Walk follows a scenic course in and around Fredericksburg, Texas.

The course begins and ends at Marktplatz downtown where parking and restrooms are available.

All participants who pre-register will receive a t-shirt and an event medal.

Pre-registration fee is $35 for walkers and $35 for runners per person with entries completed by April 18, 2026.

Late On-line registration will be $40 beginning on April 19, 2026, until April 23, 2026.

Children ages 5-12 who participate in either the run or walk will be entered into a raffle drawing for prizes.

RACE START

Stretch and pre-warm up is sponsored and led by fitness professionals from The Wellness Center at 8:00AM near the race start line.

The race begins at 8:30AM with a 5 min staggered start time for walkers, but we ask you be at the starting line by 8:30am.

Chip timing provided by Athlete Guild.

RACE FINISH

Upon completing your run and crossing the finish line, participants must continue moving toward the exit of the finish area to pick up a water bottle.

🏞️ Course Info

Courses are held on paved trails and park paths, with some mixed surfaces possible (crushed granite or dirt). Aid stations will be available with water and support to keep you hydrated and safe.

Course Surface: Expect mixed surfaces (pavement, crushed granite, dirt paths).

Public Space Notice: Events take place in public parks, greenbelts, and roads. You may encounter park users such as dog walkers or families with strollers. Please be courteous and aware.
