THE ENTIRE RACE IS HELD IN THE MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST (UNDER SPECIAL USE PERMIT). THE RACE STARTS WITH A .5 MILE SWIM IN SUMMIT LAKE, FOLLOWED BY A 17.1 MILE BIKE RIDE OVER KENNISON MOUNTAIN (ELEVATION OF 3,988 FEET) TO THE CRANBERRY MOUNTAIN NATURE CENTER. THE RACE CONCLUDES WITH A 6.2 MILE RUN DOWN TO THE CRANBERRY GLADES AND BACK TO THE CRANBERRY MOUNTAIN NATURE CENTER TO THE FINISH LINE. IT IS THE WV STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND OLYMPIC QUALIFYING EVENT.

    Directions to “The Landing” Basecamp

    The SlatyFork Enduro is the 4th stop in the West Virginia Enduro Series and will have 6 timed stages. Beginner category will race stages 1, 2, 3, and 4. Shuttles will be provided on race day (Sunday). Casual shuttles are recommended on Saturday for practice, coordinate before riding the trails to ensure practice transport.

    Onsite field camping is allowed, however primitive & limited. First come, first serve. There will be port-a-potties with a hand wash station available. Dogs are required to be leashed at all times.

    Saturday (8/8)

    Casual shuttles can be arranged for practice rides of the course, but coordinate before riding the trails to ensure practice transport.

    5pm: Kids Race (ages 10 & under) near campsite approximately 3 miles up Mine Road. Bike Games for all to follow. 7pm-ish: Dinner will be available for cash donations onsite and live music afterwards.

    Sunday (8/9)

    MANDATORY RACE MEETING at 9am, race starts at 10am. Water & snacks will be available at the Tea Creek Campground shuttle area.
