  Your Trails. Your Run/Ride. Your Town

  On Your Left Fitness is proud to partner with the Town of Marana Parks and Recreation to bring you the 3rd Annual Tortolita Traverse, A challenging, yet breathtaking course in the Tortolita Preserve. Day 1 will feature the Half Marathon and 7 (7.7) Mile run. Day two will feature a 10-mile and 20-mile mountain bike race.

  The Course

  Day 1 | Run the route! Challenge yourself to a half marathon on a mixture of single-track trail and wash (sand) running or test your speed in the 7-mile Tortolita loop Course. There will be aid stations roughly every 3 miles on the course.

  Day 2 | Ride the Route! Prove your speed and have the fastest single or double lap.

  5:00 am | Check-in

  5:45 am | Half-Marathon Start (4 hour 30 minute cut-off)

  6:00 am | 7 Mile (7.7) Start

  Day 2 | RIDE ~ UPDATED 3/24/25

  6:00 am | Check-in

  7:00 am | 10 Mile Start (1 lap) (1 bike will leave every 60 seconds)

  7:15 am | 20 Mile Start (2 laps) (1 bike will leave every 60 seconds) (3:00 hour cut-off)

  Tortoise Challenge

  Race our “Tortolita Tortoise”! Beat the race time of our route director to earn a special finisher pin.

  Dirt Hero Challenge

  Crush the Dirt Dash Half Marathon trail run in the winter, slay the Tortolita Traverse Half Marathon trail run in the spring, and earn yourself the dirt hero shirt for completing the distance of a marathon through Marana trails.

  On Your Left Fitness is proud to announce that we are partnering with the Town of Marana for its Marana Mother's Day 5k (5th of the 5 #RUNMARANA Endurance Events). Come get active as a family and honor all moms, grandmothers and moms-to-be at the Mother's Day 5k!

  The Course

  Walk it, Jog it, Sprint it - 5k your way! The out-and-back route runs along the scenic Santa Cruz River path with refueling stations located at the start/finish line, and the 5K turn. The course remains entirely on the shared use path and is well-marked with triangle ground signs.

  Be sure to capture the moment and post your pictures on social media using the hashtag: #RUNMARANA.

  Race Details

  Raffle | Two (2) Fitness themed prize packs will be raffled off for each race. Included with registration.

  Community activities | Themed face painting, photo booth, inflatables/lawn games, and a toast to moms.

  Packet Pickup | NEW LOCATION ~ Thursday, May 8, 4:00-6:00pm at the Marana Aquatic and Recreation Center (MARC) 13455 N Marana Main St, Marana, AZ 85653. You can also pick up race morning starting at 7:00 a.m.

  A Toast to Moms

  What makes a mom so special? Everything! Join us in celebrating moms with a cider toast after the race.

  Race-Day Registration

  You can register online on race day until 7:00 a.m. PLEASE USE YOUR COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE TO REGISTER. There will be NO PAPER registration on race day. Price increased on race day to $40.

  Dave’s Run for ALS is a super-fun, family event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

  Dave’s Run for ALS is a super-fun, family event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

  DAVE'S DOUBLE IS BACK THIS YEAR BY POPULAR DEMAND (run both the 8K and 5K and win a special prize)!!

  The event is named for the late David Filer who was an avid runner, active SAR member, and local business owner. David was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, in the summer of 2000. Currently there is no cure for this fatal disease. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go specifically for ALS research, via the Jim Himelic foundation. Race distances are 8K and FitKidz and Family 1 Mile Run/Walk. Awards in the 8K in 5 year age groups.
