Three Great Ultras - One Registration Package The Southern Arizona Triple 50 is back! This unique challenge is for runners looking to finish all three of southern Arizona's greatest ultra running events in a single season:- Colossal Vail 50 on December 5 in Vail- AZT Oracle Rumble 50 on January 30 in Oracle- Old Pueblo 50 on March 6 in SonoitaRegister for all three events here for a discounted rate, and refer to each event's website for more details. All events take place on a portion of the Arizona National Scenic Trail, with event proceeds donated to the Arizona Trail Association to support their mission to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment.The Southern Arizona Triple 50 is supported by Team Woodall with Long Realty. And not just any 50 Milers, but really hard routes along the Arizona Trail. Will you be among the few to finish this trail challenge? If so, we've got a great garment for you that you'll wear with pride on all your future adventures. You'll also be included on the list of finishers on the Triple 50 website, and we throw a fiesta in April to honor each finisher and the wonderful volunteers who make these events so much fun.     The Jingle Trail races continue the healthy holiday themed legacy of running in Tucson and Vail. Mica Mountain High School and the Mica Mountain Cross Country Program aim to engage the community in promoting healthy lifestyles and community engagement. We are proud to help partner with the local community, Vail School District Transportation Department and collect toys for Toys for Tots. This year we'll attempt to pack up a Vail School District bus with over 500 new toys for our local community. Every registered runner/walker is requested to bring a new & unwrapped toy for donation.Our Cross Country team and school would like to thank you for considering coming to this event, being a part of the Mica Mountain collaborative culture, and helping to brighten the holidays for those around us.

    The Mica Mountain Cross Country team will be out on course throughout your Jingle Trail experience to help direct you, cheer you on from the start to the finish line, and help you enjoy your morning. The course will primarily be on the Mica Mountain Cross Country course with a few potential modifications. The race will be chalked/coned, have railroad ties denoting borders of pathways as well as having Mica Cross Country athletes pointing you in the right direction. The race will start and finish on the school track (which is new and awesome!) and include "Thunder Hill" to the southwest and the "Rolling Thunder" hills behind the visitor bleachers. A link on this website will take you to a MapMyRun simulation of the race.

    A 2021 "Day of Service" with many stakeholders helped improve the terrain including 10 truck-beds filled with pecan shells from the Green Valley Pecan Company. This natural material is a challenge to run on but will naturally become a part of our course over time. During May 5th, 2023 over 50 students helped weed, level, widen, and lay over 30 tons of decomposed granite on sections of the course to make it even better than before. On May 12th, 2023 Cross Country athletes and district employees traveled to Bisbee to collect 100 railroad ties to help better section off the path in hopes of making things ever clearer and faster for all. During the Day of Service (5/3/24) students removed weeds from the course to keep it tidy. Course terrain varies from the fast start and finish on the school track, asphalt sections, dirt, grass, and hills with something to challenge even the most seasoned of runners! This fun event is a great sampler of high school Cross Country! We hope you decide to come

    **We're super excited to announce our new 50k distance option for our March 6th 2027 event!**As part of our new 50k distance, we've once again joined forces with the Arizona Trail Association, and are offering the unique challenge of completing all three southern Arizona's 50k races, Colossal Vail, Oracle Rumble, and Old Pueblo.New course maps available soon!.

    Course

    Starting at the historic mining site of Kentucky Camp the race takes you into the rugged, rocky shadow of Mt. Wrightson along the Arizona Trail. Looking down at you from 9452’, it is one of the tallest peaks in southern Arizona. You will seldom lose sight of it as you run the course. It is truly a beautiful area. The course itself, consists of a 25 mile loop on forest service roads and trails through the southeastern part of the Santa Rita Mountains (part of the Arizona Trail). Elevation at Start/Finish is 5142 and ranges between 4031 and 6232 with an average grade of 6%. Time limit: 7 hours for 25 miles and 15 hours for 50 miles.

    Special awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each event. All finishers will receive awards plus plenty of Swag from our sponsors.  Post race cookout also provided.

    Virtual Run Details

    Of course we want you to participate in the Wicked Half Marathon, 10K and 5K event locally but we know things come up. So, if you can't join us on race day and still want to run, get the medal and the shirt then you still can! Here is your way to take part in this event no matter where you are! And of course, all prices include shipping! Prior to the event all virtual participants will receive an email with instructions on how to submit your time. Please note that all items will be shipped following the event on October 25th.

    Gatorade and Water will be available at all water stations.

    Water will be located at:

    • Half Marathon - Miles 1.55, 3.1, 5.1, 6.55, 8.1, 10, and 11.55

    • 10K - Miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65

    • 5K - Mile 1.55

    Restrooms will be located on the course at:

    • Half Marathon - Miles 3.11, 5.1, 6.2, 7.1, 8.1, and 10

    • Restrooms at Miles 3.11 and 10 will be at Rillito Regional Park (restrooms directly next to the running trail)

    • Restrooms at Miles 5.1 and 8.1 will be at Children's Memorial Park (restrooms directly next to the running trail)

    • 10K - Mile 3.11

    GU Gels will be located on the course at:

    • Half Marathon - Miles 5.1 and 8.1

    The cut-off time for the Half Marathon will be 4 hours.

    Race Day Information

    Race Day Registration and check in will be available beginning at 6:00am

    We accept cash, and credit cards on race day

    Prices on race will be:

    • Half Marathon - $90

    • 10K - $60

    • 5K - $50

    • Spooky Sprint - $25

    We welcome wheelchairs, strollers & wagons. You must start at the back of the pack.

    Bicycles, roller blades/skates, skateboards or motorized devices are not allowed on the run or walk courses.

    Leashed pet friendly event

    Due to the common start/finish line, there is no bag check for this event.

    The course will take you through dedicated running trails (all asphalt and concrete), starting and ending at Brandi Fenton Park in Tucson - meaning no need for transportation before or after the race just to get back to your car! Please note - this is an open use trail system and does not close for our event.

    The Spooky Sprint will be an untimed half mile kids run. All kids who register will receive a trick or treat bag at check in and will be able to trick or treat along the course from our volunteers. Tricks and treats are handed out by volunteers so that everyone will come away with equal amount of goodies. Parents who only want to accompany their children on the course do not need to register. Costumes are highly encouraged! All Spooky Sprint participants will receive a custom event finisher's medal and event dri-fit shirt.

    This event will take place rain or shine. There are no refunds or transfers due to weather.

    Packet Pick-Up Opportunities

    Packet Pick-up is available on Saturday, October 24th from 2:00 - 5:00pm at Road Runner Sports (map).
