Amersfoort, Utrecht, NetherlandsK-Off (Kick Off Runners) started in Breda in 2025, founded by Paola, an international newcomer who, after feeling isolated and recovering from a running injury, aimed to create an inclusive running community. Inspired by her experience with Barcelona’s Gravity Run Club, she envisioned K-Off as a welcoming space for moderate-paced, medium-distance runners to connect, improve, and support each other. With open membership and no fees, the group promotes a warm environment where camaraderie and personal growth are celebrated. Beyond fitness, K-Off uses its energy for social impact by raising funds for neurological research through T-shirt sales. Located in Breda’s charming urban trails and green spaces, the group reflects the city’s friendly vibe while planning to expand to Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Newcastle. Although small, K-Off’s members share a strong sense of belonging, participating in local runs and events like the Breda Singelloop to foster community and see running as a meaningful, shared journey.
