Ferrara Marathon

Founded in October 2025, MuRun unites runners in Ferrara, Italy, along the city’s historic Renaissance walls known as le mura. What started as a way to overcome the loneliness of solo training has grown into a friendly community of about 60 members who prioritize connection over competition. The group welcomes runners of all paces and experience levels, fostering inclusivity and camaraderie through regular runs that wind through historic routes and nearby parks. Beyond physical activity, MuRun thrives on social events—aperitifs, brunches, and dinners—that strengthen friendships and celebrate Ferrara’s unique blend of history and everyday life. The founders, united by a shared love for running and community, continue to build an environment where everyone feels welcome, highlighting running as a way to forge meaningful human connections. In a city defined by its ancient walls, MuRun turns ordinary routes into shared stories and lasting bonds.
