Belgrade Urban Running Team started with five friends on a casual March 2014 run through the city streets. That single outing sparked something bigger. Today, BURT counts more than 150 members from every corner of Belgrade, all united by a simple belief: the collective always outweighs the individual. Egos stay home here. Instead, teamwork and joy fuel the crew's Sunday morning runs at Ada Ciganlija, the river island setting where Belgrade's runners gather weekly for their reset. Warm, equal, and genuinely fun, BURT proves that running together means nobody gets left behind and every finish line becomes a shared celebration.
442 Crew exists because two runners from Belgrade and Zagreb decided miles matter more than the 442 kilometres and complicated history separating their cities. Founded on the belief that running is a universal language, the crew has grown to around 80 runners from Serbia and Croatia who share roads, values, and a vision of a more connected world. There are no borders on their runs, no nationalism, no division, just shared movement and mutual respect. Whether tracing the Danube riverbanks in Belgrade or navigating Zagreb's cobbled streets, every run is a deliberate statement about what's possible when people choose to run together.
