1 Miles 5k Fun Run Run Trail Walk

Keeping with tradition, Harmony's 14th annual Mudder's Day Madness Mud Run is the Saturday before Mother’s Day, May 9th, 2026. During our traditional 5K, the course spans across Montvale’s muddiest trails with 20 obstacles. From Adversity Hill to the Tire Traverse to the A-Frame Climb, runners from ages 8 and up can race on their own or with a team. Costumes are encouraged and celebrated! In addition to our 5K, we also have a family friendly, untimed Fun Run for anyone ages 4 and up! The Fun Run distance is about 1.2 miles and will include trail running, field running, obstacles, and mud, of course! Early bird pricing ends after February 28th, so register today!

Medals will be presented for fastest 3 male & 3 female 18+ overall, and for the fastest 3 male & 3 female 17 and under overall only. Trophies will be awarded to the largest team, best team costumes, and fastest team! All participants will get swag and a participation pin! Vendors, food trucks, refreshments, and music will be onsite for all to enjoy. NEW THIS YEAR! 1 free beer for every 21+ registered participant after the event! We'd like to give a huge thank you to Peaceful Side Brewery for making this possible by sponsoring our beer tent again this year!

Funds raised from this event will support Harmony’s therapeutic programming at Camp Montvale which includes our equine therapy program and therapeutic camps for foster and adoptive children and families.

  • Parking does not open until 8:15. Please do not arrive before 8:15am. ALL participants/spectators must park in the designated, fenced-in parking area at the front of the property. (Accessible parking is available. Please ask parking attendant for more information.) There will be a short walk to get to the event. Due to traffic flow concerns, all participants should leave their car parked until after they complete the race. Participants who pick up their race packets on race day will need to stay at the event until they are finished with the race; leaving/re-entry will not be permitted. Feel free to enjoy breakfast and/or coffee from one of our food trucks while waiting for your start window.

  • Racers can begin bag check at 8:15am and groups will begin running as soon as 10am.

  • All teams must have a minimum of 4 participants. If any team does not have 4 teammates by April 30th, the members of the team will be changed to individual runners.

  • All 5K participants and teams will be timed! Teams that want to compete in the fastest team category will be timed at the 4th teammate to cross the finish line's time.

  • Ages 8 and up are allowed to register and participate in the 5K. The trail is challenging, we ask that parents or guardians stick close to their children on the course.

  • Ages 4 and up are allowed to register and participate in the Fun Run. It will begin at 11:15am. Parents - while this course is not as challenging as the 5K, it will include difficult terrain, obstacles, and mud, so please use your best judgement in allowing children to participate without you. Waivers for all participants will be signed prior to running.

  • You will be running on uneven terrain with wet and muddy obstacles for both the 5K and Fun Run courses. Therefore, the use of headphones, baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades, and pets are prohibited.

  • You do not want to lose a shoe, so we highly recommend that you tape your shoes! We will have very limited tape available on a first come first serve basis. Please plan to bring your own tape.

  • Changing areas and outdoor showers are available post-race.

  • Any runner remaining on the course 12:30pm will be picked up by race personnel.

REGISTRATION

Online registration is available through May 3, 2026. Guaranteed shirt cut-off is April 2nd! Shirts and bibs must be picked up in advance of the race. Participants who registered after April 2nd will have first come first serve shirt options at packet pickup.

If space allows, we will reopen the event for registrations during the week of the race. Once the race is at capacity, we will close registration. Therefore, REGISTRATION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT IS LIKELY NOT AN OPTION AND SHOULD NOT BE COUNTED ON.

WINDOWED START TIME FOR 5K

The race will have windowed start time corrals: 10:00-10:30, 10:30-11:00, and 11:00-11:30. You may cross the start line at any time during your chosen time window! You must select your windowed corral when you register. Each corral is capped at a predetermined number of registrants. If the window you prefer is full, choose any open window and then contact us at [email protected] to make the correction. Teams should choose a window prior to registration and share with all team members for their registration. Any team or individual interested in competing should place themselves at the beginning of whatever window chosen to avoid as much congestion as possible. We recommend all participants who intend on walking the course select the first window, as all participants still on the course at 12:30pm will be picked up by race personnel.
