Starting line is in front of Bureau Valley Elementary Walnut Campus. Check in at park tent south of the school.

All proceeds will be donated to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) research.

RACE FEATURES: 3.1 MILES, Accurately measured, Chipped timing with a gun start, Mile marker clocks, Aid Station, Traffic control, Refreshments, T-Shirts. Computerized results!

WALKERS ARE WELCOME & ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE!!

Check-In & Race Day Registration: 6:45-7:45 am, south of school at tent by park shelter. Please arrive early.

Entry Fee: $20.00 and guarantee t-shirt if received by Friday, June 26.

Awards: Male & Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies.

Trophies to first male & female Walnut finishers. $100 to 1st Place Male and to 1st Place Female. $50 to 2nd Place Male and to 2nd Place Female.

Medals to 1st, 2nd, 3rd in age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

We will continue our Wheel Chair Division!!!

Timing and results will be provided by Racing Expectations. Results will be posted after the race and online at: www.racingexpectations.com and www.starvedrockrunners.org. Awards will follow. No pets or bicycles allowed. In case of race cancellation (due to events beyond our control) we thank you for your donation.

Awards ceremony to follow. Restroom facilities and locker room to shower are available on site.

    Bag / Key Check

    There will be a bag check in for race participants. You will find this inside the Red Barn. NAMI Sauk Area is NOT responsible for any items checked.

    Pets & Strollers

    Pets are not allowed on the race course during the race and warm-ups of the NAMI Sauk Area 5K. Strollers are allowed with walkers in the race. Please allow the runners to lead the pack, followed by walkers, followed by walkers with strollers.

    Food Tent

    A boxed lunch will be provided along with water to all participants. The food will be prepared and wrapped by a licensed restaurant kitchen.

    Weather Plan

    If there is severe weather during the race, please seek shelter in one of the pavilions in Sinnissippi Park or the Red Barn and Hoover Park. If the race needs to be cancelled due to weather, it will be posted on the Facebook page (NAMI Sauk Area 5K) and an e-mail will be sent out to all registered participants.

It serpentines past the Elementary School, the old Jr. High School through the Sports Park and concludes in front of the historic train depot. This is a USATF Certified Course. The course itself is relatively flat and allows for fast race times. This is one of three events sponsored by the Amboy Education Foundation.
