    The Old Rochester Regional High School cross country and track & field teams are hosting a 5k race through beautiful downtown Marion, MA.

    All proceeds from the race will benefit the cross country and track teams at Old Rochester to purchase new equipment to ensure continued success with our programs.

    The race will start and end at Sippican School, and will run along the water through downtown Marion Village, and then loop back around to finish at the school.

    T-shirts will be given to the first 200 athletes registered!

    CANAL DAY INFORMATION

    The Canal Day 5K is one of a day full of events that take place as part of Cape Cod Canal Day and is hosted by the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce. Race begins at 9am and runs along the water on the Canal Service Road followed at 11am by food trucks, craft beer & wine, kids activities, arts & craft vendors and live entertainment.

    The rain date for the 2026 Canal Day events is Sunday, September 20th. If we need to use the rain date your race registration will transfer to the Sunday date. There will be no refunds of registration fees if the rain date is used.

    Proceeds from the 2026 event will benefit the Gleason Family YMCA.

    This challenging and rewarding outdoor adventure takes participants on a rugged 5k trail 🏞️ through scenic natural landscapes, encouraging everyone to push their limits while reflecting on the sacrifices made by those who protect and serve.

    Whether you're running 🏃, rucking 🎒 with weighted packs, or walking 🚶‍♀️ the course, you’ll have the chance to show your gratitude to the heroes who walk the thin line between danger and safety every day.

    Throughout the course, participants are encouraged to embody the values of strength 💪, endurance 🏋️, and unwavering dedication 🔥 that define the men, women, and K9s who serve our communities.

    Due to the seasonal conditions, the course may be muddy or slippery 🏞️🌧️. Participants are advised to be cautious and prepared for potentially challenging terrain. Please wear appropriate footwear 👟 and exercise extra care while navigating the trail.

    🐕‍🦺 Important Notes:

    🐶 Dogs are welcome! They must be leashed and have no history of biting. An additional waiver is required for dog participants.

    🚫 No strollers allowed – this is a rugged trail event!
