    Hello Riders,

Thank you for registering for the 2026 Pescadero Coastal Classic Road Race. We are working hard to bring you a great racing experience. The venue and course are fantastic, and we have some great prizes for the winners. This year's race is the NCNCA District Championship for M P12, W P123, all masters, and all U23 riders! See bottom of these notes for details.

Useful links: Race flyer, Alto Velo race website.

Where: Reg/start at Pescadero High School, 350 Butano Cut-Off, Pescadero CA 94060. Take Pescadero Rd inland from Hwy 1 about 3 miles; turn right onto Cloverdale, then left onto Butano Cut-Off. Registration opens at 7:00am and closes 15 minutes before each race start. Parking marshals will help you.

Course: A spectacular and hilly 28-mile loop through coastal dunes and redwood groves consisting of Stage Rd, Hwy 84 and Pescadero Rd. The race starts with a ~2 mile moto-enforced neutral zone from Pescadero High School until the right turn on Stage Rd. Use caution on the steep and twisty descents. Neutral Feed Zone is located after right turn onto Pescadero Rd from Hwy 84. Every racer's final lap will not be a full lap; the finish line is at the top of Haskins Hill on Pescadero Creek Road. Center Line Rule in force.

Info: Contact race promoter Bernardo Tapia at [email protected].

Prizes: $$$ plus merchandise, paid places to top 3-5 in all categories (merchandise only for men novice). Podium awards presented at the registration area after the race.

Entries: Online registration available on bikereg until Wednesday July 8 at 11:59pm PST. Fee includes $5.99 USAC and $3 NCNCA insurance surcharges. There will be an additional online registration surcharge. $15 extra for the convenience of race day registration. No refunds. Thank you for supporting the Alto Velo Racing Team!

Rules: This is a USAC-insured event held under USAC event permit. USAC license required. One-day licenses may be purchased on BikeReg for $15 (Novice only). Be respectful and courteous to the locals at all times; we are guests in their neighborhood. Follow the rules of the road while warming up. Cars are NOT allowed at the finish line or along Stage Rd. If you are supporting a rider, DO NOT drive to the finish line (your rider will be subject to disqualification). If driving back to the start area from the course, use Hwys 84 and 1 opposite the direction of the race to minimize traffic interruptions for racers.

NCNCA District Championship: To be eligible for the championship title, the rider needs to hold an annual license and reside in the NCNCA district.

U23 District Championship: Riders must be born on or after 01/01/03 to be eligible.

Masters District Championship: Age is based on your racing age on your USAC license.

Thank you for coming, and have a great race.
