Run/Walk for WeSPARK 5K/10K & Kids FUN RUN

Drumstick Dash LA is LA’s Largest Thanksgiving 5k/10k run. Fun for all the family and serious runners alike–including lots of freebies, a costume contest, awards and the satisfaction of supporting a worthy cause. Runners will receive a T-Shirt and the BIGGEST . . . best finishers medal yet!

This year the course will take runners, joggers and walkers through the NoHo Arts District, where participants will be greeted by cheering crowds and DJ’s pumping the tunes. All proceeds from this event will help Hope the Mission provide over 2 million hot meals for homeless men, women and children.

Race Details

Location: Woodley Park, 6076 Woodley Ave, Encino, CA

Parking: Free parking in the lot; more is available on Woodley Ave

Event Schedule

6:20am – Bib pick-up opens

7:00am – Half marathon & 10k start

7:30am – 5k start

7:35am – Registration & start line close

10:20am – Course closes (3 hours, 20 minutes for the Half and 10k)

Early start of 6:30am may be pre-arranged for half marathoners, email your request to [email protected]. All early starters will not be eligible for awards.

Courses (rain routes)

5k route: Runners do one loops around the lake – route here

10k route: Runners do two loops around the lake with a little extra – route here

Half Marathon: Route is around the park, done twice and then one of the 10k route loops – route here

More about the Course

The race routes go across the grass, under the road through a tunnel, and enter the Lake Balboa Park area. Route will be finalized week of race, rain-pending

Our courses are on open paths so please be considerate of other park users!

On-Course Support

Multiple water stations are located along the routes. The finish line will also have an aid station stocked with water, electrolytes, and other snacks. We have a first aid kit at each station and all High Tides Crew Members have received CPR training. The turns are clearly marked with chalk and runner turn signs

Final Details

Bib: Please wear your race bib on the front of your shirt so we can track your time and send your pics!

Gear Check: You may leave personal items with staff at the registration tent. Please bring your own bag.

Medals: All runners receive a finishing medal. 1st place medals are given to the overall 1st male and female in each distance

Results & Photos: An email with race results and photos will be sent the day after the race and earlier on Instagram. Race photos are free!
