Run To Rebuild Texas – 5K Fun Run

Run To Rebuild Texas is a community 5K Fun Run supporting Let’s Help Texans Inc., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on flood prevention, land restoration, and growing food in our communities.

This is our first fundraising event, and every registration helps launch projects that turn unused lawns into native plant spaces, community gardens, and healthier soil that absorbs rainwater and benefits local families.

Our goals are big:

  • Stronger neighborhoods

  • Safer drainage

  • Local food access

  • Texans helping Texans

This is a fun run open to all ages and fitness levels. Walk, jog, or run and be part of building something meaningful for our community. This event will not be timed and is for fun and funding!

Big Rivers Waterpark proudly presents... the 2nd Annual Big Rivers Splash & Dash — Benefitting the TANGO2 Research Foundation!

Lace up your sneakers and get ready to make a splash for a cause that hits close to home. Join us Saturday, June 13th 2026 for the Big Rivers Splash & Dash, where every step you take supports critical research and awareness for TANGO2 — a rare genetic disorder that’s personally impacted the Galland family, owners of Big Rivers.

    There’s a race for everyone:

    • Aquathlon (500m Swim & 5K Run)

    • 10K Dash

    • 5K Dash

    • Kids Dash (10 & Under)

    • Virtual Runs (for those that can't make it & our long-distance supporters!)

The scenic course winds through Big Rivers Waterpark and around our picturesque lake, giving you a unique view of the park. Expect fun, energy, and excitement at every turn — with the added reward of supporting a truly meaningful cause.

    Why We Run:

The TANGO2 Research Foundation was a lifeline for Megan Galland, who faced her first health crisis at just six months old during a family trip. Initially misdiagnosed, Megan eventually received answers thanks to the tireless work of the TANGO2 Foundation. Now, we're running to give that same hope to other families.
