HAVE MERCY! SHARE MERCY! Remember MERCY!

The Annual Mercy Run 5k/10k/ Fun Run is a celebration of Life! The race celebrates the lives of children who have passed and their surviving siblings (young and old) by running/walking an energizing loop, or two, with friends at Josey Ranch Athletic Complex or at a location near you!

Join us for a fun-filled family and community event honoring the special bond between siblings and in celebration of National Sibling Day!

The Mercy Run benefits TeamMercy.org, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting siblings in families who have recently endured the death of a child. Proceeds are used to heal, nurture, protect, and safeguard children affected by the death of a brother or sister through age-appropriate Grief Packets and through Mercy’s Gift. Whether you run, walk, prance or stroll, you’ll find mercy in every step. 5k/10K or Fun Run: You’ve got this: Mercy Endures Forever! Sign up TODAY!

    WEATHER POLICY

In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.

If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.

We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.

Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.

Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation.

Run as One: 5K to Fight Hunger

    Saturday, April 18, 2026

We are thrilled to invite you to this year’s Run as One: 5K to Fight Hunger, a community event uniting Manara Academy, Valley Ranch Islamic Center (VRIC) and Islamic School of Irving (ISI) in a shared mission to make a meaningful impact. What began as Manara Academy’s annual 5K to bring families and community members together has now grown into a powerful partnership dedicated to combating hunger and uplifting those in need.

The Manara Academy Board continues to serve as the guiding force behind this cherished tradition. Their steadfast commitment to excellence reminds us that the discipline, perseverance, and consistency required to prepare for a 5K are the same qualities that drive success in life. We draw additional inspiration from Dr. Ehap Sabri, our Board President, whose personal marathon journey—sparked by a Manara teacher’s “Health and Fitness for Everyone” initiative—embodies our shared value of going the extra mile.

This year’s collaboration with VRIC and ISI represents the spirit of unity and service that defines both organizations. Together, we are running not just for fitness, but for a cause that matters—fighting hunger in our community.

We invite you to join us on this transformative journey of health, compassion, and hope. Through our combined efforts, we continue to strengthen our communities and live out the values that define Manara Academy, VRIC and ISI.

All proceeds from the Run as One: 5K to Fight Hunger will benefit Irving Cares and Meals for Humanity, supporting local families facing food insecurity.
