This event is a 5k trail run being held at the scenic Parvin State Park located at 701 Almond Road, Elmer, NJ 08318. The event is open to the public. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. Awards are given based on age group and gender, as well as the Top State Police Team and the Top Local Law Enforcement Team.

T-shirts will be guaranteed to those that are pre-registered by April 21st.

Several Units of the State Police will be in attendance including the Mounted Unit, Canine Unit, Tactical Patrol Unit, Aviation (performing a flyover), bagpipes, etc., making this a family event. Snacks, music, the KONA ICE Truck, VALOR SUPPLEMENTS Display, and other family activities will also be available for entertainment.

Your registration fees will be utilized to support the continued education of college bound students and provide economic relief for troopers and their families who have suffered a tragic event or terminal illness.

    Come join us as we bring back a classic race to Sunset Lake. This race was a staple of the South Jersey triathlon scene for many years. Maybe you participated in this event in the past or maybe you always wanted to but didn't get a chance. Either way you won't want to miss out on this race. The swim and run portions of this event take place in and around Bridgeton Park and the Cohanzick Zoo on paved trails and closed roads. The bike portion takes place on scenic country roads.

    The bike course is heavily monitored by police and will be on partially closed with only limited local traffic.

    We are excited to announce that we will have Gradient Bike Shop on site. Gradient Bike Shop is a mobile bike shop and they will be at our events offering their services as bike mechanic to you free of charge.

    We will have NovaCare Rehabilitation on site offering pre and postrace stretching and massages.

    This event is part of the DQ Events Grand Prix and DQ Events Club Challenge.

    You are scored for an overall placement, an age group placement, and for finishing the event. At the end of the series there will be prizes for free entries into 2024 and more! Kayak and Non-Multisport events do not gain points.

    To be scored in the Grand Prix all you have to do is place in the Overall, Age Group, or finish the race!

    To be scored in the Club Challenge you need to select your club during registration and then place in Overall, Age Group, or finish the race!

    USAT INFORMATION

    This is a USAT Sanctioned event. All participants must have an active USAT Membership that has not expired before the conclusion of the event and must follow all USAT rules and guidelines.

    Common Rules and Information

    • ALL athletes are required to show photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS!

    • Youth (17 and under) athletes without an ID must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a photo ID

    • Annual members are required to bring their membership card every time they compete in a USAT Sanctioned event.

    • You can download and print out a temporary membership card: https://membership.usatriathlon.org/Member/ViewMemberCard

    • Athletes may only pick up their own packets. Under no circumstances may an athlete pick up a packet for another person.

    • No drafting: a maximum of 15 seconds will be allowed to complete a pass through the draft zone of another athlete

    • Headphones are prohibited

    • No riding in transition at any time

    • Helmets/Chin straps must be worn securely fastened at all times while in possession of your bike. This means before, during, and after the event. This also means from the time you remove your bike from the rack at the start of the bike leg, until after you have placed your bike on the rack at the finish of the bike leg.

    • Verbal or physical abuse of others is not acceptable or tolerated. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct at all times while at the event and during competition, including the use of abusive language; violent acts; intentional misconduct; or any intimidating behavior directed toward, including but not limited to participants, officials, event staff, volunteers and spectators.

All age group will get there award mail to them. The only awards that will be giving out day of is the top overall winners.

    In Pitman, NJ, the 4th of July celebrations typically includes a parade, a fireworks display at Alcyon Lake, and the Pitman Freedom Four Miler Run. The Freedom Four Miler Run begins at 8:45 AM. The parade starts at 9:55 AM on July 4th.

    Road Closures Information:

    Broadway will be closed from approximately 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for the run and parade.

    The Vineland Grand Prix is South Jerseys only free race series. This series is family friendly, beginner friendly, and welcomes all paces. This series is a long-standing summer tradition in the city of Vineland.

    Weekly 5K races every Wednesday Night from July 10th to August 7th at Vineland's hidden Cross Country gem - Campanella Park. Sponsored by the City of Vineland Recreation Department and produced by Second Capital Running, these are chip-timed races with individual results each week as well as overall results for the full series.
