Our 5th annual Night of Hope will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Westerville North High School Cross Country Course and McCann Stadium. The evening will feature 5K and 1 Mile races on the Westerville North Cross Country Course, and Family Fun Run around the track. The evening will promote mental health awareness and celebrate the lives of those we've lost to suicide. The evening will also feature Mental Health partners who will have information on their services and resources.

This year, our Top Overall Male, Female and Non-Binary finisher will receive an award!

All the money raised at the event will go directly towards supporting Westerville Education Challenge's initiatives in Westerville City Schools including: Hope Squad (at all high schools & middle schools), RoX, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), Twinkle's Care, student scholarships, and Parent Prep.

    Let Me Run is a nonprofit wellness program that inspires boys to be themselves, be active, and belong. Twice a week for seven weeks, trained volunteer coaches lead an elementary or middle school team through practice. Designed to amplify confidence, self-expression, and respect for others. Each fall and spring season culminates in a 5k race festival that celebrates the boys’ personal growth.

    All 1mi, 5k, 10k, and 15k participants will receive their choice of one of the following: a tutu in the color of your choice (9 colors to choose from), a super soft race t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, hooded sweatshirt or extra flower and vase. Participants will also receive a custom branded race bib, a chip timed race, instant results, snacks, refreshments and everyone will receive a beautiful flower in a vase in your choice of color and shape to keep or give to your mother!

    See image for adult t-shirt, long sleeve and hoodie colors. Please note that the youth t-shirts will be purple (not heathered purple) and the youth hoodies will be heathered charcoal (dark grey) as the manufacturer does not make a youth size in heathered dusty sage.

    Race Start Times:

    The Kids Fun Run will start first at 9:00am and at 9:15am the 1mi, 5k, 10k, & 15k races will begin.

    Additional Details:

    • This run will be chip timed and it is very important that you visibly wear your bib on the front of your chest/body when crossing the start and finish line to ensure an accurate race time.

    • We do allow strollers at this event.

    • This is a dog friendly event. We will have a doggy water station setup at the finish line!

    • Anyone who wants to start the race after the main group has begun the run is more than welcome to and your time will still be accurate.

    • Headphones/iPod/mp3 devices are allowed, though are strongly not recommended. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers as well as verbal instructions from course marshals.

    • The run will start rain or shine. The run could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions. The above schedule is weather-dependent.

    Virtual Race Information:

    The race is in person however we will offer offer a virtual race as well. Everyone signing up for the virtual race will receive a race day shirt and custom bib.     Please join us in supporting maternal mental health on Sunday, May 10th, 2026 (Mother’s Day!) at the Westerville Sports Complex in Westerville, Ohio, for our 3rd Annual Mom Day 5k, 10k + Kiddo Dash! A gathering for all of “mom kind” and those affected by pregnancy struggles (miscarriages, stillbirths, hyperemesis gravidarum, infertility, and beyond) as well as postpartum struggles (anxiety, depression, isolation, and beyond). Family members, caregivers, fur moms, and ALL of humankind are welcomed and encouraged to join us! A portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to POEM Ohio (Perinatal Outreach and Encouragement for Moms), which offers support, resources, referrals, and a sense of community to help moms and birthing persons in Ohio feel heard, understood, and empowered. You don’t have to be a mom to join us! We welcome all runners, walkers, joggers, and community members to come out and enjoy a special morning together.

    Did you know postpartum depression and other mental health conditions are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth? More than 30% of new moms & birthing persons experience them, according to POEM. We get to change this, one stride at a time. It's worth every mile to join us for this worthy cause.

    Post-Race Celebration of Motherhood

    Stick around after the race for our Celebration of Motherhood Village! Several local small businesses and nonprofits will be showcasing what they do for our community! We will have food and coffee for sale this year in addition to complimentary post-race snacks. We will have photo opportunities, mocktails, flowers, and more for 2026!
