The race is for all ages, and winds through iconic parts of Muncie - including Minnetrista and Ball State University - bringing the community together to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's Disease. Proceeds directly support Muncie's Rock Steady Boxing program, helping improve quality of life, reducing hospitalizations, and slowing disease progression.

  This is a free 13 week children's fun running program for the Anderson and surrounding area communities.

  Points are accumulated each week they are in attendance that will go towards the bike drawing.

  All races are on Tuesdays at 6:00pm. We are located at the Alex Pike Park at Shadyside Park. Address is 1320 Alexandria Pike, Anderson, IN 46012. Next to the children's playground.

  We offer a timed 1/4 mile race for under 5 yrs. And a 1 mile race for those who can run a mile. Parents are welcome and encouraged to run with their child either distance.

  We belong to the Road Runners Club of America for our insurance program. They require that we have a signed waiver from participants. Registering here allows the race director to easily assimilate participants and record your child's finish time each week. You only need to sign the waiver one time during the season. Parents, please look at the opportunities to Volunteer. The tab on the left outlines where we can use your help. We thank you in advance!

  Location: Shawnee Prairie Preserve, Greenville

  Cost: $20 before March 31st (includes a t-shirt made of 50% recycled plastic bottles), $20 after March 31st (does not include a t-shirt ).

  Awards: Top two overall finisher for men and women and then top two in each age group will receive a medal. Age groups will be 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 20-29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, 80 and over.

  Two events combined for a great day of honoring a hero!

  The K-9 Officer Seara Burton Foundation will be hosting these events in honor of our fallen hero, Officer Seara Burton.

  All proceeds will be utilized to continue the Foundations mission and fund K9 departments around the country.

  140 Challenge

  5k Run/Walk & Fitness Challenge

  Participants can choose to participate in 5k only or 5k & Fitness challenge. 5k is open to all levels of runners/walkers!

  After completion of the run participants will have the option to complete the fitness challenge.

  The Fitness Challenge will consist of 4 bodyweight workouts (4 years of Service) and 140 reps of each workout (Badge Number).

  • Sit-Ups

  • Squats

  • Push-Ups

  • Lunges

  Each workout can be complete by type or in 4 rounds of 35 reps each circuit!

  Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female awards given for the run.

  Seara's Legacy K9 Trials

  Police K-9 Competition

  The K9 trials will consist of 4 K9 events

  • Open Area Search

  • Vehicles

  • Obedience (Obstacle Course)

  • Hard Dog/Fast Dog

  Awards will be given for each category and overall Top Dog!

  Timeline of the day:

  The 5k portion of the 140 Challenge starts at 8:00am with fitness challenge immediately following the run.

  K-9 Trials will begin at 12:00pm (noon). Open Area, Vehicles and Obstacle course will run simultaneously. Hard Dog/Fast Dog will be the final event after all others are completed.

  Spectators are free to attend and watch all events.
