Run Into the Summer 5K

The 5K race starts on A Street behind City Hall, heads North on 3rd Street to the track at Missisinewa High School. After a few laps on the track runners will then go along the perimeter of the school property and through one of the trails in the woods. Runners will exit the woods onto Garthwaite Road taking a left of H Street, taking a right back on to 3rd Street, and then finish back at the City Hall Pavilion.

Sign-in and registration begin at 7:00 am at Hutchins Commons (Pavillion just West of City Hall) with the race starting at 8:00 am. Awards will follow shortly after the last person finishes the race. Awards will be given to the overall top male and female runners, and the top three male or female runners in each age group. Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Proceeds from this race go to support, Main Street Gas City, which strives toward strengthening vitality in our downtown district, celebrating Gas City's historic character while bringing our community together to enjoy all aspects that Gas City's downtown has to offer.

Enjoy a fast, mostly flat route along the scenic lower path at the Englewood Dam — perfect for runners chasing a PR and walkers looking for a relaxing stroll.

This is a true community event! Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome, and yes — your furry friends can join too (just please clean up after them).

The IU East Run With The Wolves 5K is race number three of the Wayne County Challenge. Run the same course as the IU East cross country team as well as numerous local high school runners. Pre register by 7/12 to ensure a shirt, student rate of $20 for K-12 and college students. Supports the Indiana University East Alumni Association.

Event details and schedule

Race day registration and packet pick up from 7-7:45, race start is 8 AM. Awards and door prizes to be given out following the race on the Hayes Hall patio.

St. Clair Run/Walk 5k

LOCATION

The race course will start and finish at the Fort Recovery Community Park (pool park). Cannon fire sends you off on your run through historic Fort Recovery, OH

ENTRY FEES

Pre-Registration without a shirt is $15.00 if registered by July 17th, 2026

Pre-Registration with a shirt is $30.00 if registered by July 3rd, 2026

Race-Day Registration is $20.00 without a shirt.

14 & Under are free for 2026!

Be a Part of the Mercer Health 5k Challenge

• The Challenge will be made up of 7 events.

• Online registrations will be available for all races, with the opportunity to save money by preregistering for all 7 events

• The Challenge season will end begin with the Zuma 5k on June 20th and end at the Buzzard's Glory 5K on August 1st
