26.2 Miles Marathon Run

The River to River Marathon is a point-to-point endurance race running across Pike County, Illinois — beginning at the Mississippi River in Louisiana, Missouri and finishing at the Illinois River in Pearl, Illinois.

This race is designed to be:

-Simple

-Honest

-Community-powered

-Experience-driven

No loops.

No city streets.

Just real miles across rural Illinois.

Race Day Logistics & Transportation:

This is a point-to-point race, and we’ve planned it that way on purpose.

To keep the course clear, safe, and runner-first, we’ve built in simple logistics that just work:

A race shuttle bus will transport solo runners back to the start line after finishing

Relay teams may stage vehicles at exchange points or bring a non-running driver

Multiple access roads allow smooth runner pickups at exchange locations

Course design keeps vehicle traffic off the race path as much as possible

What this means for you:

No dodging cars

No chaotic handoffs

No confusion at exchanges

Just running.

The result is a race that’s organized, safe, and actually fun — whether you’re running solo or with a team.

We’ve thought through the details so you can focus on what matters:

crossing rivers, covering miles, and finishing strong.

    2026 Hull of a Race for Parkinson’s

    Saturday, August 15th

In 2025, Hull of a Race Sets Fundraising Record, Donating A Historic $26,000 To the St. Louis Area American Parkinson Disease Association. We also had 241 runners registered for our race!

We also made many improvements to help accommodate and welcome our Parkinson’s Heroes who joined us for the race. We offered a more comfortable viewing area with a tent, seating, cooling fans (which helped as it was a toasty day) and specific parking near the start/finish line, so they had an exciting view!

In 2026 we look forward to another fantastic opportunity to raise money for the American Parkinson’s Disease Association research. We will continue to provide memorial or honor name badges for runners to wear with names of our Parkinson’s heroes. Please let us know of names and addresses of those you know with Parkinson’s, so we can contact them or you about our race, name badges, and recognition. Also contact us if you would like to join our Pit Crew and help with the race. New members are always welcome. We hope you will walk or run, and/or donate or simply join us at Hull of a Race in 2026. It is truly a heartwarming morning that will leave you with a good feeling for being a part of it! Please feel free to contact Jeanie Cox at 217-430-9476 or Pam Peters at 217- 440-5523, if you would be willing to hand out flyers, help with advertising, or any other aspect of the race. Many hands make the work lighter and help us reach our goals of more awareness, participation, and donations.

Together, we can make 2026, our 20th year the most successful and memorable of all!
