Together, we channel the net proceeds from these events into ongoing research projects and patient support programs. Your involvement directly contributes to advancing the quest for a cure. Walk shoulder-to-shoulder with Ocular Melanoma survivors, their families, and the medical professionals who care for them at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University School of Medicine.

All ages are welcome to attend. Come run, walk, or stay in one place and play games at the Fourth Annual Lookin' for a Cure 5K at Stanford, hosted by A Cure in Sight and the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford. Set up your team, invite your friends and family, start your fundraiser and you are off to the finish line. Proceeds from this event will support the Stanford Ocular Oncology Program. Stanford is a national leader in providing state-of-the-art care for ocular melanoma patients of all ages and has pioneered groundbreaking research advances. Prithvi Mruthyunjaya, MD, MHS, professor of ophthalmology who anchors the ocular tumor service at Stanford is also working hard at Stanford to bring this event to fruition.

The race also aims to spread the word about the importance of early detection by getting regular dilated eye exams.
