Mina started Running Late Athens because he needed running partners, not because the timing was right. In June 2024, he posted on Instagram looking for people to join him on Monday evenings around Zappeion and Kallimarmaro, and about 30 runners showed up. Now they gather every week at 20:00, locals and expats, fast runners and beginners, people whose schedules are messy and lives unpredictable. The crew's name is honest: it's about showing up when you can, running at a conversational pace, then sitting down over souvlaki while the night stretches longer. Running Late Athens treats movement as permission to belong, not as a test to pass.
