Welcome to the Coogee Island Challenge Autumn Edition Ocean Swim The Coogee Island Challenge (Autumn Edition) is a season-finale highlight of the ocean swimming calendar and your chance to take on the iconic swim around Wedding Cake Island while the water is at its warmest. Held at Coogee Beach in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, the event offers a thrilling open water experience with a variety of distances to suit all levels. Whether you’re returning to ocean swimming or trying it for the first time, it’s a scenic, safe, and professionally run event that captures the spirit of the season. 🌊 Swim Distances: * 800m Junior Dash – great for younger swimmers. * 1km Swim – within the relative safety of the bay. * 2.4km Island Challenge – a circuit around Wedding Cake Island for swimmers aged 13+. Join us for a spectacular day at the beach and start your season with a swim to remember.

Now in its 19th year, the Beachside Dash is an iconic Sydney fun run and a much-loved fixture on the city’s annual running calendar.

Join us on Sunday 13 September 2026 for a morning of movement, community and purpose along the beautiful Botany Bay foreshore. Participants can choose from the 10km, 5km, Corporate Cup Challenge or the ever-popular 2km School Cup Challenge & Family Fun Run.

With professionally managed and timed events, prizes for winners and medals for all participants, the Beachside Dash welcomes runners of all levels – whether you walk, jog or run. Every step helps support vital medical research in our local community.

Registrations open February 2026. We can’t wait to welcome runners, joggers, walkers, families, schools and supporters back for another unforgettable day by the bay.

To streamline the bib collection process, all registrations (excluding the Corporate Cup Challenge) completed before 21 August will have race bibs automatically posted. The postage fee is included in the registration fee. No more lining up!!!!!!

Keep your Pace, or Lose your Race!

A fun Halloween, zombie-themed running event with a twist!

Instead of keeping up with the pacers, your job is to beat the zombie pacers.

Select the 5K or 10K time you want to beat, as this will determine your wave start time.

Keep your pace, or lose your race!

If you beat the zombie pacer, you will receive a one-of-a-kind SURVIVOR medal. If the zombie pacer for your wave finishes before you, you will receive a ZOMBIE/INFECTED medal.

This one-of-a-kind event is sure to attract many people, from runners chasing a PB to walkers and families just out for an hour of Halloween spooky fun!

This is a no-contact running event.
