SRLA Victory 5K

The William Northrup School Fun Run is a schoolwide fundraising event that brings students, families, and our community together for a day of movement, teamwork, and school spirit.

Each student will participate in the Fun Run and has a personal fundraising page to invite friends and family to support their effort. Donations can be made as a flat amount or as a pledge to cheer students on as they run.

Funds raised will directly support:

• Classroom supplies and educational resources

• Enrichment programs and student activities

• Campus improvements and community events

Our goal this year is $35,000. With approximately 700 students participating, we’ve set a suggested goal of $50 per student. There is absolutely no minimum requirement, and every contribution, no matter the amount, is truly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support!

• 🏆Students who upload a photo to their personal fundraising page will receive a fundraiser photo prize

• 🏆 Top fundraising classrooms will earn a classroom celebration

• 🍦 If we reach our $35,000 schoolwide goal, the entire school earns a Schoolwide Celebration Day

The Mark Keppel Alliance is a non-profit organization that advocates for Mark Keppel High School and fundraises in order to enhance the students’ education and engagement. Their mission is to raise money to support academics and sports programs that the school district cannot fund. Anyone who wants to do a 5 kilometer run/walk, support the students, and feel the community’s spirit surrounding such an event can do so at the Fear the Spear 5k. All proceeds generated from the run will benefit academics, sports, and the clubs that students participate in at Mark Keppel. We encourage everyone to be a part of the 5k experience and sign up!

Celebrate the joy of life, resiliency, and vitality at the "Generations In Motion" event promoting the wellness journey across all ages. Walk, Roll, and Run in a race or relay. Participate individually or together with your family, friends, or company. Beyond the running events, festivities include a variety of exhibitor resource booths, lively DJ music remixes, sampling of local microbrews and food, and other fun-filled activities. Let's MOVE, GROOVE, and THRIVE together in the spirit of sustained health, longevity, and happiness! Lace-up your sneakers, tune-up those walkers and wheelchairs, and come join us for a day of active fun and celebration!

The event is open to the public and inclusive of all ages and abilities.

After three successful editions in Mexico, we are bringing this fun and family-friendly race to the U.S. for the first time, organized by Run For Paws & Aztlán Athletics. This event celebrates the special bond between humans and their dogs while promoting compassion, adoption, and healthy living. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this unique experience!

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is hosting a 5K suicide awareness and prevention walk/run. Our mission is to bring law enforcement personnel, family, and friends together and raise awareness of the support and resources that are available to those who struggle with suicidal thoughts. It is important to break the stigma so that people do not suffer in silence and get the support they deserve because we are "Better together"! The event will highlight resources for law enforcement personnel and activities for participants to enjoy in the company of family and friends.
