Turning the Corner on Local Hunger

Tour de Turns is an original and unique charity bicycle ride and walk that benefits Nourish Up (formerly Loaves & Fishes/Friendship Trays, Inc.) Since 2012, the event has netted more than $500,000 to help turn the corner on local hunger!

For those signing up for the Walking event, please remember you must follow all traffic and pedestrian laws. You must stay on the sidewalks/shoulders and not walk in the streets!

Run in the New Year with us at the 4th annual NOON Year's Eve 5K presented by Patterson Heating & Air Conditioning! This popular holiday 5K sold out the first three years, so we're expecting a full house again in 2026.

The 5K kicks off with a traditional New Year's Eve countdown at NOON! All paces are welcome. Runners (and walkers!) will enjoy a certified cross country course with scenic views of the lake and surrounding parkland.

    SWAG

If you love swag, we've got you covered! 5K participants will receive a long sleeve, branded race shirt, a finisher medal and post-race lunch/beverages. Make sure you sign up early to secure your swag though, as we do expect another sellout. If you prefer to keep it simple, we offer a "Go Green" option where runners can opt out of a shirt and medal (but you still get to enjoy the post-race sustenance!).

    RACE COURSES

The 5K course begins and ends in McAlpine Creek Park. This is a certified 5K course consisting of crushed gravel surface - perfect for pushing yourself for a new PR!

The Noon Year's Eve Kids Dash course is ~ 0.20 mile, flat sprint perfect for nearly all ages. The kiddos will start at the 5K start line and cut across a crushed gravel path to take a "shortcut" to the finish line. Parents are welcome to accompany their kids on this fun run!

Visit our courses page for more details, including MapMyRun links!

    AWARDS

Visit our awards page for details on overall and age group awards, including our exclusive awards for the fastest LAST MILE of 2026!

    KIDS DASH

The NOON Year's Eve Kids Dash starts at 12:45 pm. The little ones dash 0.25 miles from the start to finish line and receive their own branded finisher medal.

This is a cycling event that supports Honor The Warriors Inc. A not-for-profit registered 501(C) (3), veteran owned and operated group that supports the mental and physical health of Warriors through activities designed to show them what they can do with support. Remember your registration fees are tax deductible. This is our 17th annual ride and will be our biggest and best yet.

    Event details and schedule

This is the 17th Annual Honor The Warriors Fund Raiser. In this event our wounded veterans will join with local riders to ride in the community. Friday 23rd Oct we will begin at 423 Eastway DR at 0900 and ride through downtown Charlotte with stops at points of interest around town. Lunch will be provided in Freedom Park and after a short ride through Meyer's Park Area we will cross Central Ave and return to the beginning at Eastway Park at approximately 1400hrs.

Day 2 Saturday 24th October will find us at Arlington Baptist Church in Mint Hill, NC with the ability to select any of 3 routes that criss cross the countryside of the surrounding area. Routes are 17 (depart 1000), 34 (depart 0900) or 66 (depart 0800) miles in length The start times are staggered so that we all get back at near the same time and enjoy the NC BBQ meal and friendship with our Warriors.

Links to course routes will be posted on our web site: www.honorthewarriors.org and cue sheets will be available the day of the ride. I encourage everyone to take a cue sheet especially for the 68 mile route as there are areas that have no cell service.
