HOWARD6:00am CST – RACE START – You will need a headlamp for about the first 45 minutesRace Starts at the Pine Glen Campground in the Choccolocco Wildlife Management area offFS500. (For Runners who will have crews transport them to start – See directions to Start at theend of the instructions). Race Finishes at the Sylaward Trail Head (Lake Howard).RACE TIMERace starts at 6:00am CST (Race Time will not FALL BACK). Set watches to not “Fall Back”Race Time will continue from 6:00am Saturday - 2:00 pm Sunday for 32 hours. Course Map: Course Map is located: pinhotitrailseries.com Course Description Course: A Point to Point Trail run starting in Heflin AL on the unmolested Pinhoti single track trail. Runners will make their way over the highest point in Alabama while navigation over rocks, through creeks and across beautiful ridge lines of the Talladega National Forest. The course will consist of 83 miles of single track, 17 miles of jeep road and 2 miles of pavement and finishing at Lake Howard
on the Sylaward Trail. Packet Pickup: Friday November 6th PACKET PICK UP - 3:00pm - 7:00pm CSTWhere - Sylaward Trail Head (Lake Howard) – Sylacauga AL (Google - Boat Dock Lane) - GPScoordinates may take you to the wrong location.You will receive your Bib #, Crew Display Card for odd/even (if you have crew) - one per runnerDrop Bag drop off. Drop bags are accepted at Packet Pick Up only.Crew Passes for Cheaha State Park - must be paid in advance. Bring cash. You will receive apass to give to the gate attendee. The gate attendee will switch our pass for a Day Pass as youenter the park. This prevents the attendee from having to go get change for each vehicle. CheahaState Park will receive all monies from the passes.$5 per Adult (age 12+)$2 per Child (age 4 to 11)$2 per Senior (age 62+)Free for ages 3 & underAll Active Military, Retired Military, and Veterans are Free? Restrooms: Restrooms will be available at the race Start, downtown Heflin, Aid Station 2 (Shoal Creek) Cheaha State Park Store, Lake Cheaha (Aid 7), Adam's Gap (Aid 10) - Porta Johns , Porter's Gap (Aid 13) - Porta Johns & the Finish Line. Race Day Weather Conditions: Expect any type of weather. Be prepared for any race conditions. The race has never been canceled due to weather conditions.
