RAVENSWOOD GRAN FONDO
Choose your challenge: 50 km,100 km or 100 mile (163 km)
The ride kicks off at the Imperial Hotel in Ravenswood, with the first 5 km designated as a “neutral zone”. After leaving Ravenswood you will follow the Burdekin Dam Road. Each distance has a turnaround point marked with feed and support station that can be used by all distances.
The ride is over gently undulating terrain and riders will be required to safely negotiate 34 cattle grids over the course when riding the 100-mile option. When I say gently undulating, i lied, big time. Best description I can come up with is nuggety. The ride route will not be closed to traffic, with all road rules to apply.
