Cycling Run Swim Trail Triathlon

🚀 Get ready, Nanaimo — we’re back!

Dynamic Race Events is pumped to bring you the 9th Annual Westwood Lake Triathlon on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at beautiful Westwood Lake Park in Nanaimo.

🌊 The Swim: A refreshing dip in Westwood Lake (we promise, no sharks — just a solid swim support team cheering you on). Transition is right there in the parking lot, so no excuses for slow moves.

🚴 The Bike: Buckle up for Canada’s most honest bike course! Rolling west of Hwy 19, through East Wellington — this is a course that won’t sugarcoat your effort. Both distances share the same opening 10 km: a chance to size up your competition before you dig in. Standard athletes will cruise past Brannen Lake before making a return to the lake.

🏃 The Run: A lap of glory (or 2 for Standard athletes) around the hard-packed trail circling Westwood Lake, with a finish chute and post-race celebration waiting at the main beach. That’s where the cheers, the community, and your hard-earned finish line moment all come together.

📍 Why Nanaimo? Minutes from downtown, 90 minutes from Victoria, and a scenic ferry ride away from Vancouver. In other words: no excuses. Pack your goggles, bike shoes, and trail legs — Westwood is calling!

The Oceanside Running Club Association (ORCA) is pleased to again host the Mother’s Day 10 K Run & 5 K Run/Walk in 2026.

We look forward to welcoming new and returni6ng runners, walkers, and valued volunteers on May 10!

Given the growing popularity of the event, to best assure a fun and safe time by all, there is a registration limit of 500 participants. So secure your place by registering early and take advantage of the lower fees!

Centred in the heart of the quaint seaside Town of Qualicum Beach, the 2026 event builds on the success of the “new in 2023” and the 2024/25 versions of the well-loved Oceanside Mother’s Day 10 K Run and 5 K Run/Walk.

The start/finish will be on the grounds of the Qualicum Beach RC Legion (Br.76) located on Veterans Way – the site of the famous QB Saturday Farmer’s Market.

The course is fully paved, utilizing both the popular Dollymount Trail and town streets, providing a safe journey through the urban forests, hobby farms and quiet residential areas of Qualicum Beach. “Once around” for the 5K, and a slightly modified “twice around” for the 10K. Over 70% of the route is shaded – a great bonus should it be a warm day!

The 5 K is open to both runners and walkers, while the 10 K is restricted to runners only.

    Race Number Pickup:
