Join us Saturday, November 14th at 8:00am for the 2nd Annual Brookstone 5K, hosted by the Brookstone HOA. We continue the tradition alongside neighbors, family and friends with a day of exercise and fun! Run, walk, go at whatever speed you wish. This is an open event, all those interested are welcome, but please no bicycles, scooters, or powered vehicles of any kind. Proceeds from the race will benefit local running programs.

The first wave of event registration is open now through October 21, 2026. Every participant completing registration before October 21st will be guaranteed a race t-shirt. There will be a second wave registration period starting on October 22, 2026 and ending November 13, 2026.

Celebrate the spirit of hard work and hometown heroes at the Labor Day 5K/10K/15K — a race dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who serve as our First Responders.

We will gather in Kennesaw, GA for this meaningful Labor Day event which recognizes firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and medical professionals who protect and serve our communities every day. Whether you’re running in support of a loved one, racing alongside a local hero, or participating as a First Responder yourself, this event is about gratitude, strength, and unity.

Participants may choose from three distances — 5K, 10K, or 15K — making it accessible for runners and walkers of all levels. All First Responders receive a free race entry as a small token of appreciation for their service. Valid ID must be presented at bib pickup to confirm eligibility.

All athletes who cross the finish line will earn a custom finisher medal, and awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each distance in the standard five-year age groups, beginning with 10 & Under.

This Labor Day, don’t just take the day off — lace up, show up, and run with purpose as we honor those who answer the call when it matters most.

    WHAT IS IT?

This course is one-mile in total, a looped course. The race has four timed lengths; fourteen hours, ten hours, eight hours, and five hours. There are two lanes, as it is open to the community, so utilize them both. This is a fairly short race for you to get those extra miles in or to give yourself a test before the tougher race you may have coming up; either way, you’ll find something for you at this race! The trail will be lit during the evening hours, there are benches and pavilions you can rest at, and there is a water park that you can use for an entry fee of $3. Along with that, there are vending machines with the cost of $2, plenty of shade around the course to keep out of the sun when needed. All in all, everything you need for this race will be there, and if there are any special requirements you need, feel free to contact me via email before the race!

    WILL THERE BE AID STATIONS?

Yes. There will be one aid-station, located at the center pavilion. You will pass this aid station fairly often, so there is only need for one. It is set to have drinks with electrolytes, snacks such as berries, peanuts, peanut butter, potato chips, salt tabs, and things of that nature to keep you moving. A cooler will be located at this aid-station, along with being set at a half mile point as well for extra hydration.

    ARE THERE PRIZES?

Yes. It is set to have an award for the top four runners to finish in this timed event, so do your best and run strong!
