The 5K is for everyone but the 12K and 25K are designed for endurance athletes and heat-hardened runners, this race pushes limits with gritty summer miles through Florida's sun-soaked terrain. This is your chance to prove you can go the distance β€” and handle the heat.

    Join us for the Fast & The Furriest, a fun and furry-friendly 5K event supporting the incredible work of the Gulf Coast Humane Society! This year’s race will be held at Edison Mall in Fort Myers and will feature plenty of wagging tails and good vibes.

    Enjoy our traditional, chip-timed 5K course through and around the Edison Mall . Whether you're running for the podium or walking with your pup, this event is open to all paces!

    Additional Safety & Consideration Guidelines

    To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants (both two- and four-legged!), we kindly ask that you observe the following:

    • No Retractable Leashes: For everyone’s safety, only standard (non-retractable) leashes are permitted. Leashes should be no longer than 6 feet.

    • One Dog Per Runner/Walker: To ensure better control and safety, we ask that each participant bring only one dog.

    • Dogs Must Be Well-Behaved and Socialized: All dogs should be comfortable around crowds, other dogs, and loud noises.

    • Dogs Must Be Current on Vaccinations: Please ensure your pet is up to date on rabies and core vaccines.

    • No Aggressive Dogs: For the safety of others, dogs showing aggressive behavior will be asked to leave the event.

    • Clean-Up is a Must: Please come prepared to pick up after your, poop bags will be available on-site.

    Hydration Stations: Water will be available for both pets and people throughout the course.

    Event Staff Reserves the Right to Remove Any Participant (Human or Canine): If safety becomes a concern, we may ask a participant to step away from the event area.

    2026 Details and Entry Will Be Posted In Early Spring 2026

    The LaBelle Rotary Club, like many organizations is finding ways to keep our fundraising going to be able to provide to our community. The LaBelle Rotary Club donates dictionaries 3rd grade elementary students, scholarships to graduates, Turkeys Take Flight and many more worthwhile causes. Our number one donation is to help eradicate Polio around the world. Rotary International has helped eradicate Polio in all but 2 countries by distributing polio drops to the children of the world. The run will take place on November 8th at the park on Forrey Dr. Runners will be given a shirt (first 100 registered), bib and swag bag. 100% proceeds, above event costs, will go to the fight against Polio as well as other causes in our local area. We need your help!

    The 2026 Labelle Turkey Trot 5K will be timed and scored by LinMark Sports of Cape Coral FL using the Chronotrack Timing System. During race week runners/family/friends can sign up for texted race results to their mobile devices.

    5K Trail Race Details

    Start Time: 8:30 AM

    The 5K course features a fun, scenic loop with rolling terrain and a mix of grass, hard-packed trail, and mild single track. The 5K course will stay on the green trails (beginner friendly)

    Half Marathon Trail Race Details

    Start Time: 7:30 AM

    Cutoff Time: 12:00 PM

    The Half Marathon course will use the best parts of the Caloosa trail system, incorporating long stretches of perimeter trail, open grass sections, winding single track, and technical segments.

    Aid Stations

    Main Aid Station:

    Located at Start/Finish β€” fully stocked with all supplies needed for the race.

    On-Course Aid:

    Water + electrolyte tabs available at miles 3 and 9.

    Hydration Requirement:

    All Half Marathon runners must carry a hydration system (handheld, vest, or bottle).

    Crew & Canopy Area

    Theres plenty of space at the start finish area for canopy tents and crew support.

    Parking

    All parking will be inside the Mountain Bike Park.

    Parking staff will direct you upon arrival.

    Parking is on grass near the trail system.

    The Run for Prevention is a chipped and timed 5K Family Run and Walk that is suitable for all ages and abilities. Run will be held at beautiful Babcock Ranch. Bring your family and friends, form a team, and support an extraordinary non-profit. Our course is stroller and pet friendly.

    The largest team will win the JOSH TROPHY and bragging rights for the year!

    The Run begins at 8:00 a.m.

    Pre-Race Packet Pickup is January 29, 2027 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet at the Bell Tower in Fort Myers. Park near CycleBar or Burntwood Tavern and enter through the corridor. The store will be straight ahead. Race day packet pickup is 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., at Founder's Square, Babcock Ranch.

    T Shirts for the first 300 registrants. Team members receive a $5.00 discount. T shirts sizes are not guaranteed

    This event will be held "rain or shine" with no refunds.
