    PawPals Endeavor 2026: Spoooky Edition

Second Annual PawPals 4 Life 5k

Presented by GetDisrupted.Org and Pawfields Enrichment Group

    In-Person 5k: October 24, 2026 - Time to be determined

Race t-shirt guaranteed for those who register by September 1, 2026, or until sold out online.

Run or Walk: It's entirely an off-road experience! In recognition of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. It is our demonstration and commitment to enrichment for paws of all kinds. Limited number of in-person participants allowed; act now to secure your spot in the race!

For our second annual PawPals Endeavor we are offering more activities that are bound to be a spoooky good time for PawRents and PawPals! This year proceeds will go to Disruptive Endeavors Inc. (dba GetDisrupted.Org) and a selected partner organization (to be announced).

We are on a mission to provide a fuller and more enriching life for our PawPals - a source of joy and comfort for us PawRents. With your participation and help we can accomplish this task, keeping our eyes peeled, ears tuned, noses up, and paws forward to a better tomorrow with hoomankinds’s best pals. If we have learned anything, it is this: River, Aston, and Nova are not “pets”; they are family, members of our household, our ride-or-dies, our PawPals for life. Our transition into PawRents taught us that enrichment was an essential part for their development and well-being; from engaging in their training as a bonding strategy to encouraging socialization as a way to reveal their personalities and create independence. Our PawPals require dedication from us as much as they dedicate themselves to us.

We aim to provide a space where PawRents and PawPals can come together for a PawFect cause: to instill hope in us all and help save lives while also encouraging social interaction among our friends. The Passion of life shown through Affection, Loyalty, and Service for one another — PawRents and PawPals alike.

Your PawPals 4 Life 5K Registration includes: General Admission for you, your guest, and your PawPal into the PawPals Endeavor: Spoooky Edition. The Milk District, a few blocks east of downtown Orlando, has long attracted artists and independent businesses with character to spare. In November 2023, runner and coach Jeremy gathered a small group outside Sideward Brewing Co. and launched Milk District Run Club, born not from a gap in the race calendar but from a gap in belonging. Around 50 members now gather every Thursday at 18:30 for an easy run through the neighborhood, where pace does not determine your place. Veterans pace first-timers without being asked. The run is the reason to gather. The pint is the reason to stay. What makes this crew distinct is the deliberate refusal to sort people by ability or performance. Jeremy built something with the opposite logic: a space where every level, every background, every person who has ever felt like running spaces were not quite built for them, can show up and immediately feel like they belong.

Running Punks FL took root in June 2026 at Lil Indies, an Orlando bar on the edge of the city's indie music scene, where founder Eva, a multi-instrumentalist in the bands M.A.C.E. and Strangelace, planted a flag against gatekeeping in running. The crew operates on a single principle: no ego. Punks, metalheads, goths, alt queer folks, BIPOC runners, trans athletes, adaptive athletes, and anyone else historically treated as wrong for polished spaces gather Tuesday evenings at 6:30 to choose between a two-mile or four-mile out-and-back, with water provided and drinks waiting after. Around 14 members have already found their way to the runs in the first weeks. The philosophy is spelled out plainly: "No ego. Just grit, miles, and a healthy dose of punk attitude." Speed is never the point. The crew's twin mottos, "Live fast, run slow" and "Stay mosh pit fit," signal that the solidarity of a pit translates to a group run through sticky Orlando streets, and that everyone belongs at the same Tuesday start line.
