In June 2024, Paola stopped running solo. A few friends became a handful, then dozens, then 75 people gathering for dawn and dusk runs through Genoa's streets. What started as "Corsetta + Colazione" sessions, those legendary post-run breakfasts, has become the rhythm of Corridori Casuali. The crew meets Wednesdays at Piazza Giusti in the morning and Piazza Rossetti at evening, pace groups splitting naturally, but always reconvening together over coffee. There's no rigid doctrine here. Running adapts to the person, not the reverse. Beginners and fast runners coexist because the real agenda is connection, not hierarchy. Genoa's hillsides have become witness to something rare: runners who treat splits and friendships as equally important. The casual runners aren't casual about community.
