About this event

This is a couples race with 2 divisions; married or couple.

The relatively flat 5K course is on the road, gravel along the Bikepath, and grass inside the Gardens.

Runners will start together on the road between the Gardens and the Bikepath, then run in opposite directions, pass one another to run their partners loop but all eventually finish at the same finish line inside Gardens.

This is a timed event. Awards will be determined by combined age, going 3 deep, with elite overall, then combined age of 40-59, 60-79, 80-99, 100-119, 120-139, 140-159, 160-179, 180+.

Free parking at Moanalua Gardens or at the Moanalua Community Park. Lots of refreshments provided at the finish line, awards ceremony at 9am.

Registration fee is $45 per runner or $90/couple

Packet pick up at Running Room on Saturday, February 14th, 1-3 pm.

    Race starts at 6:30am, and will start and finish on Magic Island! Plenty of free parking available in the Magic Island parking lot.

    Awards for top males and females in 11 divisions. Chip timing by Pacific Sport Events. Stick around for the awards and you might be the lucky winner of some fun prize giveaways!

    The 17th annual Coconut Chase 8K is fun for the whole family!

    The race will take place on Sunday, June 13, 2027 at 6:30am! The scenic race course is flat and fast, running around beautiful Ala Moana Beach Park. Stay after the race to enjoy the calm tropical blue waters of Ala Moana Beach!

    RACE DAY INFO:

    Race starts at 6:30am at Ala Moana Beach Park, on Magic Island. We recommend you arrive by 6:00am to get parked, use the restroom and get to the start line.

    There is one aid station on the course serving water, plus light snacks, gatorade and water at the finish!

    Awards for top males and females in 10 divisions. Chip timing by Pacific Sport Events. T-shirts and medals guaranteed to those who register before May 15th AND PICK UP THEIR SHIRT AT PACKET PICKUP.
