About this event
Join us for the Brown County Youth Mt. Bike Summer Camp at Brown County State Park! Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for students to build confidence in themselves through mountain biking.
In this camp your children will learn mountain bike foundational skills, play games, ride the trails and have tons of fun. We will assess each rider and progress them in a safe environment.
Hours: Monday-Friday
June 8-12th
Daily 10am-3pm Drop off/Pick up in Brown County State Park, we will email you the exact location closer to the date
Parent info. and items to bring:

Working bike - make sure bikes are in working order, no training wheels, no kickstands (it's a safety issue). Please get their bike checked and tuned up at your local bike shop ahead of time

Proper helmet - make sure it fits

Lunch and snacks (packed daily)

Water, electrolytes, please avoid high sugar drinks

Hydration pack is recommended or water bottles

Flat pedals

Closed toed shoes

Bike gloves are highly recommended

Sunscreen, Bug spray

Extra change of clothes

Any medication your camper might need ie. Epi Pen if needed for allergies. Albuterol if needed for asthma. They must be carried by the camper at all times. Please share any relevant medical needs for your camper to us.

Sample Day:
10am Check in with group and coaches for the day, warm up body
10:30-11:30am Fundamentals, group skills
11:30-11:40am Break
11:45-12:15pm Review skills, games
12:15pm Lunch
1pm Discussion Bike Maintenance
1:30pm Game
1:50pm Trail sessions and ride
3pm Camp ends
We do have a limited amount of rental youth mountain bikes available. Rental bikes are first come first serve. Please contact Brown County Bikes to reserve your rental at 812-200-1115.
