5K Awards to Overall, Master, and Grand Master winners male and female based on start time.

First, second and third place male and female winners, based on chip time, in age categories: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 & 75+.

Medals to all 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk participants.

Registrations received by midnight June 15, 2026 - 5K $30, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk $20, Family Rate $80 for 2 Adults & up to 4 Children under 18 (same address) for either race. (T-Shirts guaranteed to all who are pre-registered by June 21.)

    Hello! Thank you for looking into The PLEA Foundation's I Support The K9s Color Run 5K.

    The I Support The K9s Color Run 5K will be the twelfth 5K that the PLEA Foundation has run and we are excited to have everyone join us. Please come out and support law enforcement officers, they need it more now than ever.

    The 5K will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

    We will be available for day-of registration and advance registration check-in at 8:30 am at the Hickory Grove Pavilion. 5K registration includes a T-shirt, medal, racing bib and refreshments. Following the 5K, please join us for refreshments, photo opportunities and our raffle and 50/50 Drawing.

    Course Info

    The event will be ran on the paved path at River Bends Park.

    There will be six color stations on the path, that will be patrolled by Color throwers who will douse you with several BEAUTIFUL colors!

    Arrival Info

    Please enter at the 22 Mile Entrance only, as the trails are not accessible from the Hamlin Rd. Entrance. You can park in the giant parking lot right next to the Hickory Grove Pavilion and the playground. Check-in and Registration will be in the Hickory Grove Pavilion.

    Waivers & ID

    Please sign your Waivers upon registration. If you did not sign one during registration or you were registered by someone else, please sign upon arrival during check-in. The Waiver MUST be signed in order to participate in the 5K. After you register, you should receive a Confirmation Email. You can either print it out or show it on your phone upon arrival at check-in.

    What to wear

    Feel free to wear whatever colors for the 5K, but white would be best to display all the beautiful color!

    Packet pick-up

    Packet Pick-ups will be available at our office in Rochester, MI on Friday, May 8th from 9:30am-4pm. If you would like to pick up on Friday, PLEASE notify us within 24 hours before with your name(s) and scheduled pick-up time. T-Shirts are first-come, first serve for registrations after 4/18. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after 4/25. If you register and are not able to attend, please notify us if you would like to pick up your T-shirt, Medal & Event bag at our office no later than 5/31.

    Catch the Spear-It! The 5k Run and Walk held in beautiful, downtown Silver Lake at the Dune Town Mall is back for another year! The race course follows the lakeshore into the wooded, winding roads of the Upper Silver Lake area, providing beautiful scenery and natural landscapes that end right back at the Dune Town Mall. This year we will be awarding trophies to the top male and female runners as well as medals to the top three runners in each age group. All participants will receive local asparagus. Be sure to preregister to be guaranteed a commemorative T-Shirt!
