2026 Kukio Blue Water Swim

Saturday, September 19th 2026 marks the 19th Annual Kuki’o Blue Water Swim. The race consists of a 1.2 mile swim from Kua Bay to Uluweuweu Bay at Kuki’o. Breakfast and awards will follow the race at beautiful Kikaua Point Park. Our goal as always is to provide a safe, fun and fair event that promotes a sense of community and encourages an active, outdoor lifestyle.

Pricing:

$60- OPEN DIVISION - includes a competitor shirt & swim cap

$60 - ASSIST DIVISION - Swimmer using Fins (No Mono Fin) and/or Snorkel, wetsuit - includes a competitor shirt and swim cap

If registering after August 24th, competitor shirt sizes are not guaranteed and Women & Keiki Shirt sizes are not available.

Entry Fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable

Entry includes breakfast & 1 raffle ticket

Event Policies

Weather Cancellation: The race will proceed rain or shine unless weather or ocean conditions are deemed unsafe by race officials. Participant safety is our top priority. If the event is canceled due to unsafe weather or ocean conditions, entry fees are non-refundable.

Race Day No-Show Policy: Participants who do not check in or attend the event on race day will forfeit their race packet, including the event shirt and participant bag. Race packets may only be picked up by the registered participant and will not be released to friends, family members, or other individuals. These items will not be held or mailed after the event.

Race Day Timeline

6:00 am Gates Open at Kukio, directions will be given to Beach Access Parking **

6:30 -7:30 am Check-in & Body Marking: Kua Bay

7:45 am Mandatory pre-race meeting, Pule to follow

8:00 am Water Start Kua Bay

9:30 am Race Finish Kukio Beach

9:30-10:30am Breakfast & Awards Kikaua Lawn

Event Parking

Gates will open at Kukio at 6:00 AM. All event parking must take place at Kukio, there will be no event parking at Kua Bay. Please allow 15-20 minutes to walk to the registration/check-in area at Kua Bay from the parking area at Kukio.

Please Note: Take only what you need for the swim to the race check-in. A small gear bag will be provided during registration. Please pack your belongings into the appropriate bag during registration and take it to the designated drop-off area. All items must fit INTO the gear bag provided. No exceptions. Your gear bag will be available for you once you finish your swim. Event organizers are not responsible for lost items. Personal bags or backpacks will not be accepted.

Awards

Awards will be given to the Overall Male & Overall Female finishers. Awards will also be given to the top 3 finishers in each age division, male & female.

Please note: Fins & snorkels are permitted but individuals using fins and/or snorkels will not be considered for the age group or overall awards. You will receive a finishing time which will be listed under the Assist Division.
