About this event

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just love to walk and take in the scenery, SKECHERS Wicked Wine Run is for you! Each course will be held on beautiful properties or various partner vineyards across the country giving you a rare opportunity to view and tour a vineyard like no other. With the option to choose between a 1K or 5K course, or both, there’s something for everyone. Along the 1K course, you’ll find four sampling stations where you can enjoy world-class wines from the partner vineyard. And if you complete the 5K course, there will be a complimentary glass of wine waiting for you at the finish line.

Enjoy access to our post event party where you can enjoy the tunes of a live DJ, eat some delicious food from our food trucks, purchase more wine and play “that’s when we became best friends” games, creating the perfect atmosphere for an evening out with your friends and loved ones. Don’t miss out on the fun-filled event!

Bring a friend, put together a team, or fly solo to meet fellow wine enthusiasts as you sample wines from the vineyard. By participating, you’ll not only be treating yourself to a great time but also supporting our charity partners!

    Taste of Portage Half Marathon will take you on a beautiful run through Portage, Wisconsin.

    Taste of Portage Half Marathon will be a course with lots of variety as you make your way past several of our community parks and the paved Levee path on the Wisconsin River. We will have cool swag, medals, and a huge downtown post-race block party/awards ceremony! See you in August!

    Bring your whole family and enjoy the race as part of our annual Taste of Portage Market Fair in downtown for the weekend. Friday night packets can be picked up at the event and you can stay to enjoy some live music and food. After the race on Saturday, you and your family can enjoy the downtown party with live music, kid’s entertainment, a classic car show, sidewalk sales and specials in our businesses and of course lots of food and cold beverages to enjoy!

    The Taste of Portage Half Marathon & 5K will start and finish in downtown Portage at the Columbia County Administration Building, located at 112 Edgewater Street, Portage, WI 53901. There will be plenty of parking here and portable bathrooms to use. Event photos are encouraged!

    NEED LODGING?

    The Portage Best Western Resort Hotel & Conference Center (2701 South County Highway CX, Portage) is offering a special group rate for those staying over and who are in town for the Taste of Portage Half Marathon. To reserve a room at this special rate call 608-742-2200. (Ask for the Taste of Portage Marathon Room Rate). The Best Western has recently been renovated, offers an indoor heated pool and a complimentary HOT breakfast.

    The Sun Prairie Community 5K is an annual event, this year, held at Token Springs Elementary in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, featuring a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run. The race course follows an out and back route along the bike paths in The Reserve neighborhood, offering participants a fun experience.
