All entrants receive a free bandana. FOHP provides hotdogs after the race. The event will be limited to 200 entrants, so all who are interested are encouraged to pre-register. Fees will be $5 higher for day of event registration.

Berry Pond Scramble

This event is a fundraiser for The Friends of Harold Parker. We are a non-profit organization formed to promote, support and advocate for Harold Parker State Forest. Our activities include clean-ups, marking and maintaining trails and invasive plant removal. In cooperation with DCR we have installed kiosks, and built bridges and boardwalks.

1 Mile Walk through central Reading. All proceeds from the race are donated to the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF), and other local sight-related charities supported by the Club. MLERF finances basic eye research at world renowned institutions such as the Mass. Eye and Ear right here in Boston. Over the years, the Club has donated over $350,000 from the proceeds of this race to MLERF, and we are excited to continue these efforts in conjunction with the Friends of Reading Recreation (FORR).

501(c)(3) organization dedicated to pursuing opportunities for inclusion for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as promoting awareness for NARS1 gene disorder.
