3.1 Miles Run Walk

RIVAURA ESTATE VINEYARD AND WINERY proudly presents our 6th annual Rivaura Rosé River Run/Walk:

This family-friendly 5K will start at Rivaura's beautiful event barn located inside the south vineyard. Participants will run through the vineyard before running west onto Hewett Road headed towards Spaulding Park. About half way down, there will be a turnaround point-with a shot of rosé! Racers will follow the same route and eventually return back through the vineyard, finishing at the event barn.

Every year the race has grown! Over 600 runners/walkers participated last year and we expect 1000 this year! HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF 1000 participants!!!

Race day participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, wine tumbler, and a glass of Rivaura's Cab Franc Rosé or a glass of River Ranch Brewing Co. beer. Those under 21 will receive a glass of sparkling cider. CHILDREN 5 & under FREE! Children 6-12 discounted price! We have a child and a youth size t-shirt available this year! *If your child is 5 & under, but you still want them to receive a swag bag, including a t-shirt-you can still sign them up for the discounted price!

On race day the event barn will be open at 8:30am for participants arriving early. Music, food, drinks, and goodies will be available before and after the race in and around the event barn.

Fentanyl Awareness & Rivaura Rosé River Run - 6th Annual 5k Run/Walk

April 29, 2026-just 11 days prior to the race is National Fentanyl Awareness Day, and Rivaura will be donating a portion of the race proceeds and 100% of the donations of this event to fentanyl awareness. This race is in honor of Cal Daniel Heinen, who was more than just a friend to the Hewett family, he was also Winemaker Lane Hewett's best friend and classmate. His life ended suddenly in November 2019 due to an accidental overdose from a pill laced with Fentanyl. It seems everyone knows someone who has been impacted by this crisis. This event has served as an outlet for many families and organizations. There will be many informational booths supporting spreading the awareness and many great vendors!

During the 5th annual Rivaura Rosé River Run last year, we raised almost $20,000. This money was donated to non-profit organizations that are helping spread awareness about the dangers of fentanyl. One of those organizations is Song for Charlie. We gave a bulk of the donations to them, with the understanding that they would help spread awareness in our community specifically.

Opioid overdose deaths have been DECLINING since mid-2023! This is a great statistic to hear, but our work is not done yet! Law enforcement, the DEA, and Medical Examiners, have found themselves increasingly overwhelmed with the amount of fentanyl deaths in America. On December 15, 2025, illicit fentanyl was designated as a Weapon of Mass Destruction. We need people talking, researching, and sharing Cal's story. We want to make sure Cal’s death and the deaths of countless others will not be in vain, but may help save lives. Remember Cal, Remember Why. To find out more about fentanyl awareness, visit Song for Charlie and Be That Friend on Instagram and Facebook.

Thunder Hill Showdown 5K – A Run for Hope & Healing

The Thunder Hill Showdown is more than just a run—it’s a chance for our community to come together in honor, remembrance, and action. This 5K course begins at the Lapwai Football Field, climbs to the top of Thunder Hill, and loops back—a powerful journey that symbolizes resilience and strength.

This event was created by Riston Bullock to raise awareness for suicide prevention, honor his sister Raquel, and provide support for families affected by loss. Funds raised will contribute to Raquel’s memorial and headstone, with 50% of proceeds donated to a suicide prevention foundation.

    📅 Date: July 13, 2025 – Lapwai Days

📍 Location: Lapwai Football Field → Thunder Hill → Back

💰 Entry Fee: $35 (Donations are welcome!)

    Honoring Loved Ones

To make this event even more meaningful, we will have:

🎤 Guest Speakers sharing stories of hope, loss, and mental health awareness.

📷 Memory Tables where participants can bring photos of loved ones lost to suicide—creating a space for reflection, remembrance, and healing.

This is our first annual event, with hopes of growing into a tradition that fosters support, connection, and change. Whether you run, walk, or simply gather with us, every step counts.

Join Riston Bullock in breaking the silence, honoring lives, and standing together for mental health awareness. 💙🎗🏃‍♂️
