Founded in January 2018 by Ryo, Dao-Yi, and Eugene, Old Man Run Club in New York City began as a lighthearted joke about feeling old while running but quickly blossomed into a welcoming community of around 50 members. Emphasizing long-distance runs every Saturday—ranging from 9 to 22 miles at a conversational pace—the club fosters inclusivity across all paces, ages, and genders, with more female than male runners. Meeting at Urban Studios, members share camaraderie that extends beyond running, exploring iconic city routes along the Hudson River, Central Park, and landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge. Rooted in the spirit of the NYC Marathon, the club provides a supportive environment for building endurance and confidence while celebrating the vibrant energy and diverse neighborhoods of New York. Without formal membership or fees, Old Man Run Club invites anyone eager to embrace the challenge of long runs and genuine connection in the city’s dynamic running scene.

Founded in April 2018 by Greg, Streets 101 is a New York City running crew that has grown to about 130 members, united by a passion for personal challenge within the urban landscape. The crew’s philosophy emphasizes balancing individual goals with collective support, fostering a community where every runner’s effort is valued and celebrated. Their runs weave through iconic city landmarks and diverse neighborhoods, reflecting the energy and rhythm of NYC itself. Operating from their hub at Custom Performance, Streets 101 creates a welcoming space for runners of all backgrounds to connect, motivate one another, and push their limits together. Regular group runs encourage consistency and personal growth, whether chasing new records or embracing the simple joy of running in a vibrant city. By engaging in local races and events, Streets 101 plays an active role in New York’s rich running culture, blending personal transformation with a shared urban experience.

Harlem Run is a transformative running movement and community founded in November 2013 in the iconic New York City neighborhood of Harlem. Established by the influential author, activist, and athlete Alison Désir, the crew's mission is to empower urban communities to get fit by creating authentic and curated running experiences. They are a strong, positive, and diverse collective that warmly welcomes runners, walkers, and joggers of all sizes, ages, and abilities to their free weekly runs.

Community Run

Black Roses NYC started in 2013, founded by Knox Robinson and Jessie Zapo. It’s not a casual running club. This is a high-level, invite-only team for runners who are serious about both training and the city’s downtown scene. Their name comes from a classic dancehall song, and their goal is to stand out as the rarest flower in the garden. They work hard, train hard, and keep a close, diverse crew.
