Help us kick off the 2026 Sea Turtle Season on the fabulous Sunset Beach with this 5k Beach Run! Sunset Beach is a flat, level beach perfect for running on during LOW TIDE! Cash prizes for top 3 Overall and Masters! Our beloved sea turtle season begins May 1, and the SOHO Running Club wants to help bring awareness and give back to this wonderful organization who works hard all summer for Loggerhead conservation. Come join in the fun and do your part in saving one of Sunset's most beautiful creatures!

    Sunset Beach is a beautiful coastal island in SE North Carolina with a beautiful waterfront park, shaded golf course communities, an incredible bridge over the intracoastal waterway and unforgettable oceanfront views on the island! We host a half marathon, 5K & 1 Mile in April when the average temperatures are a High 67 and a Low of 59. Sunset Beach is ranked one of the top beaches in the World by National Geographic!

The event will take place among the trails of the beautiful gardens and on the boardwalks over the scenic marsh in Little River, South Carolina. All race participants will receive a custom Blue Crab finisher’s medal.

    Parking will be at Vereen Memorial Gardens at 2250 Hwy 179, Little River, SC 29566 and the Little River Medical Center at 4303 Live Oak Drive, Little River, SC 29566 (Please look for staff in blue vests aiding with parking).

    Packet Pick-Up/Late Registrations:

    Friday, May 15th, at the Government and Justice Center (3230 Hwy 319 E, Conway, SC 29526) from 9am-11am. Packet pick up will then move to the C.B. Berry Community Center (2250 Hwy 179, Little River 29566) for 2pm-4pm.

    Saturday, May 16th beginning at 7:00am at CB Berry Community Center (2250 Hwy 179, Little River 29566).

    Start and Finish:

    The start and finish lines will be at gate of Vereen Memorial and Historical Gardens.

Our courses take you through some beautiful communities and the half marathon takes you around most of the island with unforgettable oceanfront views.     The South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club's "SBI Three Bridge Tour" offers you a unique opportunity to traverse our county and cruise across the three featured bridges of Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, and Holden Beach. Select a ride that is family friendly or one that will challenge you; each promises to be memorable.

    Proceeds from this event will be used to for local and international Rotary project with many projects providing experiences and learning opportunities that will enrich the lives of the children and youth in Brunswick County.
