Join us on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 4 pm for a color walk/run in Hebron, Kentucky starting and ending at North Pointe Elementary School. In partnership with the Hebron Business Association, the color run event will raise funds to support the work of the Family Resource Centers and the Youth Service Centers for the Boone County Schools located in Hebron – Conner Middle and High School, North Pointe, Thornwilde, and Goodridge. Activities start at 4pm and the run will begin at 5pm.

    Run for Stacy: A Community 5K

    We’ve known Stacy as a helper, a good neighbor, a loyal friend — and our favorite “cake therapist.” She’s the kind of person who quietly shows up for others without ever asking for anything in return.

    In June 2025, Stacy was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Since then, her world has shifted overnight. She is no longer able to work, and her focus is now fully on treatment, rest, and spending meaningful time with the people she cares about most.

    This 5K is our opportunity to return her kindness.

    Why We’re Running

    The purpose of this fundraiser is simple: to surround Stacy with tangible support and relieve the financial pressure that comes with serious illness. Proceeds from the race will help cover medical insurance costs and ongoing living expenses, allowing her savings to stretch further during treatment.

    Every step taken on race day represents encouragement.

    Every registration, donation, and sponsorship represents love in action.

    More Than a Race

    This isn’t just about miles — it’s about community.

    It’s about showing up the same way Stacy has shown up for so many others.

    It’s about standing together in a season that is heavy, choosing hope, generosity, and action.

    Whether you run, walk, volunteer, sponsor, or donate, you are helping carry the load.

    Because when life gets hard — when the diagnosis is heavy and the road ahead is uncertain — tough things matter.

    And how we respond to them matters even more.

    This is one of those moments.

    Tough matters.

    And so does Stacy.

    Course:

    5 Kilometer course winds through the campus of the Mount St. Joseph University and the Sisters of Charity Motherhouse.

    Divisions:

    19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and over 80

    Awards Recognition:

    Overall Male and Female winners and Top male and female performers in each age category will receive an award.

    Pre-Race activities:

    Pre-race music and entertainment starting at 8:00 a.m.

    Post Race Celebration:

    Immediately following the race, refreshments, stretching, massage and entertainment will be available

    Adults 18-64:

    Youth 17 and under, Seniors 65 and over, MSJ Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni

    $20

    Registration includes chip timing, T-shirt, awards, and pre/post events. After 9/3/26, T-shirts are included while supplies last.

    T-Shirts:

    All participants registered before September 3rd will receive a commemorative race t-shirt with their registration. You must be signed up prior to 9/3/26 to be guaranteed a shirt. Registrations after 9/3/26 will receive a shirt while supplies last.

    Note: All registrations are to be done online including race day.

    No Sweat Option:

    Can't make it to the race? You can still support the event by choosing the "No Sweat Option". We will include a race t-shirt with your registration (while supplies last) as a Thank You for your support.
