Hola...May the Course Be With You! When two fun days collide, you throw a 5k & fiesta! Attention all runners, walkers, Star Wars fans and lovers of tacos...this event is for you!
Join us on Saturday, May 2nd for our 5th Isle of Wight Community Club 5k! Each event gets a little bigger and a little more fun! We hope you will sign up to participate and will invite a friend or neighbor to join us too. This is a family friendly race that is open to the entire community - both members & non-members of the club are welcome!
This race is hosted by the Isle of Wight Community Club - a small community club whose members live on or nearby to Isle of Wight. It serves as a major club fundraiser and the proceeds will support the upkeep of the club, the addition of new programs and our outreach within the community. Your participation & support is greatly appreciated!
Pricing: Online registration is available until midnight the night prior to race day. Onsite registration will also be available on race day. The price is $40.00 per person for all racers over the age of 5. Have a group of 4 or more? Register together and take advantage of the family bundle discount that reduces the cost by $5 per participant!
IOWCC Members receive a $5.00 off per registrant discount. Check your emails for the discount code to use at checkout. Members can use both the IOWCC Member Discount + the Family Bundle for a total savings of $10 per registrant!
Volunteers - an event of this size, takes many helping hands to pull off! If you are not interested in running/walking, but would like to help work the event, we welcome your assistance. Race Day Details - Onsite registration, bib pickup and pre-race festivities kick off at 9am. Racers/Walkers will start assembling for line up around 9:30/9:45 and the race will begin promptly at 10am. Food & fun will immediately follow the completion of the race. The course is stroller friendly and there is no charge for children being pushed in a stroller. Walking children age 5+ should be registered as a participant. While we love our furry friends, however we are unable to allow dogs (even those on a leash) to participate in the race.
This is a timed event and awards will be given. Medals will be provided for the top three finishers in each age bracket as well as the top three male & female overall finishers. Costumes are welcome and encouraged!
Fiesta Only Tickets - Not interested in running the race but want to help raise funds for the club and be a part of the fun?? Purchase a Fiesta ticket for only $15 and receive a complimentary race tee plus entry into the post race fiesta where you'll mingle with friends and neighbors while enjoying tacos and music!
Note - 1 family member of racers who are attending to cheer on their runner do NOT need to purchase a fiesta ticket. They will be provided an arm band at the time of check in so that they can enjoy the post race festivities too. If they'd like a tee and want to donate, we won't say no...the more donations the race raises the more goodness we can generate for the club and community. :)
