  Two days of fun are headed to the trails at Saunders Springs Nature Preserve, April 11-12, 2026.

  On Saturday, come challenge yourself — or bring a crew — in solo, duo, or four-person classes in mountain biking endurance races.

  On Sunday, the trails come back to life with the sounds of runners. Choose between the 5K, 10K, and 25K distances.

  Both the run and bike courses are 99% singletrack, with that perfect Saunders Springs mix of scenic and “who designed this hill?” tough.

  All proceeds support the Saunders Springs Betterment Fund, KyMBA Lincoln Trails, and the local trail community.

  Start/Finish Location

  All races start in the lower area of the nature preserve

  The Kids races take place at the Stovall Cabin

  Mountain Bike Events - Saturday, April 11

  Adult 4-Person Team (Male/Female/Open/Open) — $40 per person — 1:00 PM

  Duo — 6 Hour Endurance (Male/Female/Open) — $40 per person — 1:05 PM

  Junior 4-Person Team (Ages 11–17 | Male/Female/Open) — $20 per person — 1:10 PM

  Solo — 6 Hour Endurance (Male/Female) — $40 per person — 1:15 PM

  Party Lappers — $20 per person — Anytime after 1:20 PM

  Kids MTB Race (up to 10 years old) — Free — 2:00 PM

  eMTBs are welcome in the Open classes.

This endurance test winds through shaded forest trails, rocky climbs, creekside paths, and the iconic waterfalls that make this preserve unforgettable. You can run solo, as a 2-person team, or 4-person team.

  Whether you're racing for a loved one, supporting a cause, or simply showing up in solidarity, this 5K is more than a run — it's a movement. Expect patriotic vibes, local veteran tributes, and a finish line celebration that brings the heart of America together.

  All ages and fitness levels are welcome. Strollers, service dogs, and flags encouraged. Proceeds benefit Saunders Spring Nature Preserve.

  This course is on the trails. There maybe portions of the trail that have leaves and twigs.
