Hunter Athletics and Recreation was born in Melbourne in October 2017 from a simple belief: running is better together. No sign-up forms, no membership fees, just shoes and a willingness to show up. Around 100 runners strong, this crew draws people from all walks of life, united by a philosophy that effort matters more than pace. Built on mutuality, acceptance, and the honest pursuit of progress, Hunter Athletics and Recreation creates an atmosphere competitive enough to push you and relaxed enough to make you stay. Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Olympic Park are where it starts, 06:00, with track work and threshold sessions that fuel everything else.
